Microsoft leaks the release update for Windows 10 22H2.
Microsoft is all hands on its most recent operating system, Windows 11.
However, the company clearly stated that Windows 10 will receive continued support until October 14, 2025.
Despite the promise, the company has not made any official announcements regarding the development of the next version of the operating system.
With this latest update, the Windows 10 KB5014666 preview update, which is available to Insiders on the Release channel, includes an enablement package for Windows 10 22H2.
MIcrosoft Updates Windows 10 22H2
Microsoft's latest Windows 10 KB5014666 preview update, which is now available to Insiders on the Release channel, includes an enablement package, which indicates that Windows 10 22H2 is getting closer to being released.
Windows Insiders on the Release channel were given access to the preview version of the Windows 10 KB5014666 cumulative update today.
This gives them the opportunity to test upcoming fixes before the larger Windows 10 user base is given access to the preview version of the update the following week.
According to BleepingComputer, the most recent Insider preview update includes an enablement package that enables users to "turn on" Windows 10 22H2 in the most recent Windows 10 build that has KB5014666 installed.
The features that are already present in Windows 10 21H1 can be activated with the help of an enablement package, which also upgrades the Windows version and build number.
Windows Latest reports, "References to Windows 10 22H2 (Build 19045) have now been spotted in the latest optional cumulative update. As expected, Windows 10 22H2 (Build 19045) is built on top of Windows 10 version 2004 and it won't make any significant changes to the operating system."
The upgrade to Version 22H2 will be the fourth such upgrade in a row. It is anticipated that the update will still come with some minor adjustments, despite the fact that it will not include any significant new features.
Since Microsoft is all hands on Windows 11, some users are not expecting newly added features with Windows 10.
Some expect that the updates will focus more on the security aspect, performance enhancement, and the look of the system.
Microsoft's Update to Windows 11
Microsoft is also rolling out a new update, not just for Windows 10, but also for Windows 11.
iTechPost reported yesterday that Microsoft released its latest KB5014668 update.
Microsoft has received quite a few complaints about how their latest operating system works since it has been in beta since last year.
However, one of the most pressing concerns came recently when they received user complaints about numerous problems in Windows 11.
The OS company received complaints about the audio and video experience of users when playing video games. Some games become unplayable when using a specific type of audio technology to play sound effects.
It has also been reported that sudden app crashes occur, and with yesterday's update, it also addresses issues regarding the issues users experience with their Bluetooth.
The company launched KB5014668 on Windows 11 with a plethora of improvements. These improvements include a massive number of fixes to numerous products on Windows 11 that will enhance the users' experience.
Microsoft also included new features in the latest update. Just like Windows 10 22H2, the updates are also optional.
