When did T-Mobile's 5G Home Internet Started? | Find out Here

Back in 2019, John Legere, the CEO of T-Mobile, went into great depth in a blog post about developing a 'real alternative to fixed broadband.'

The New T-Mobile intended to deliver 5G Home Internet with less expensive rates and higher speeds than cable as part of the impending Sprint/T-Mobile merger.

A year after, the company formally introduced its product in April 2021. According to the provider, 30 million US households have access to their 5G home internet, which also boasts some attractive features, including average speeds of about 100Mbps, no data limitations, device rentals, or contracts starting at $60/month.

The carrier's 5G home internet service is based on the mid-band spectrum, making it 'one of the biggest broadband providers in the whole nation by service area,' according to its statement. Furthermore, it provides connections even in remote regions.

This year, several upgrades were revealed by the Uncarrier to make the service even more enticing. T-Mobile wants to provide consumers the 'freedom to switch,' from their current internet provider by offering a free trial, up to $500 in early termination charge coverage, a $50/month lifetime price lock, and even $50 off an Apple TV.

Additionally, T-Mobile said that its 5G Business Internet is now accessible across the US anywhere its cellular service is offered. Amidst its growth, it still oughts to include 5 million brand-new dwellings.
