Netflix is a platform to help us get entertained and serves as a perfect outlet for movie time.

These movies would be perfect for those who would prefer to celebrate the Fourth of July at home or for those who are looking for movies to watch this summer.

Here are the top five movies coming to the platform this month.

Big Daddy

One of Adam Sandler's greatest movie hits of all time, Big Daddy, is coming to Netflix starting July 1. This film came out in June 1999, and the story revolved around a guy who was recently dumped by his girlfriend.

Sonny Koufax, now 32 years old and living in New York City, is a slacker who hasn't taken the bar exam, works as a toll booth worker one day a week, and subsists off of a $200,000 payout he received after a minor accident.

His girlfriend, Vanessa, has warned him that they will break up if he does not start taking more responsibility for their relationship.

In an attempt to win her back, he adopts a 5-year-old kid to prove he can take on responsibilities. According to Business Insider, back in the late 90s, this movie became one of the highest grossing films of all time. And now, Netflix is bringing it back starting this month.

The Sea Beast

The first on our list is the movie The Sea Beast, coming to the streaming platform on July 8.

They are, however, the most anticipated films to be released on Netflix this summer. This film will undoubtedly entertain both children and adults.

Chris Williams, the director of Big Hero 6 and Moana, created the original animated feature, The Sea Beast. This high-seas adventure appears to be following in the footsteps of other Netflix animated movies.

The Sea Beast is a thrilling adventure about a young orphan who stows away on a ship hunting sea monsters and embarks on an adventure that could change the course of history. The movie has a fair share of a diverse cast, with a strong and kind young female character.

Mean Girls

Another one on our list is the Mean Girls movie. This movie is one of the most iconic films that most of us do not mind rewatching again.

This is one of those movies about high school that you absolutely have to watch again every once in a while.

Mean Girls revolves around the story of Cady Heron. Cady Heron, played by Lindsay Lohan, is a new girl at school who must learn to navigate several social cliques and finds herself in the superficial and immensely popular group.

The plot of the film revolves around Cady Heron's struggle to fit in with the other students. Mean Girls will be on Netflix starting July 1.

The Gray Man

The Gray Man is not only poised to be one of the most successful movies that Netflix has ever produced, but it is also shaping up to be one of the most successful movies that Netflix has ever released.

The Gray Man is an action thriller starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. It was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who were also responsible for directing Avengers: Endgame.

The film is based on the best-selling series written by novelist Mark Greaney. The movie had a budget of over $200 million, making it the most costly film that Netflix has ever produced.

On July 15, The Gray Man will premiere in select cinemas, and on July 22, it will be available on Netflix.

Zero Dark Thirty

According to Comicbook, Kathryn Bigelow, who was nominated for two Academy Awards for directing The Hurt Locker, next tackled the tale of the search for Osama bin Laden in her film Zero Dark Thirty, released in 2012.

After the attacks of September 11, 2001, an international search for Osama bin Laden, the leader of the terrorist network Al-Qaeda, ensued for nearly a decade. This event is dramatized in the film.

This search leads to the discovery of his compound in Pakistan, which in turn leads to the military operation on May 2, 2011, during which Osama bin Laden is killed.

This movie would be perfect for those who are looking for an intense action movie. Zero Dark Thirty will be streaming on the platform starting July 1.
