The ability for Twitter Blue subscribers on Android to modify the appearance of the app's navigation bar has finally been released.
The functionality, which was formerly exclusive to iOS, gives users the ability to remove the icon for Spaces that is located at the exact center of their navigation bar.
For now, this feature will be available to Twitter Blue's subscribers in the US, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
Android's Custom Navigation
Android users who will use this custom navigation feature will be able to reduce the number of displayed tabs to as few as two or keep all five that appear by default.
This feature would benefit users who prefer to improve their experience in the space. This comes in handy for users who want easier access to their direct messages and notifications tab.
According to The Verge, the social media company tested this feature last year with a select group of users. This year, Twitter's iOS users were the first ones to experience this feature.
Android users of Twitter began the rollout of this feature last May through testing, and it is now available for users to try on.
This custom navigation feature by Twitter Blue provides subscribers with the ability to improve and personalize their experience using Twitter.
Subscribers to Twitter Blue also have access to Labs. Labs, which provide early access to the company's newest features before they are made accessible to the whole public.
This feature might be the perfect prompt for users who could use some ease in their experience. Twitter Blue's subscription is $2.99 per month.
Blocking Offensive Comments
Last month, during a talk during the Qatar Economic Forum, Elon Musk stated that another feature he wants to see come to the platform is the ability to filter comments.
Musk proposed that Twitter create a tool that would give users the ability to establish preferences that would restrict the content they view and block anything that they consider to be offensive.
As iTechPost previously reported, Musk has asserted that Twitter should permit its users to express themselves freely on the platform, provided that they do so within the bounds of the law.
On the other hand, he is of the opinion that they ought to restrict the audience that the comments are directed toward based on the preferences of the other users.
The CEO remarked that he continues to believe that Twitter should seek to be as inclusive as is humanly possible, but he also observed that there is a considerable gap between freedom of expression and freedom of reach.

Twitter's Product Drops
Furthermore, Twitter is currently testing a feature called Product Drops on their platform.
This allows users to subscribe to or follow their favorite brands and reminds them whenever there are new product launches. The social media company will alert their users if the brand has an impending launch.
Twitter will not handle any transaction, instead, it would pave the way for a sale to be made.
Users will only need to select the "Remind me" button once in order to be prompted with a reminder about the upcoming product launch.
Additionally, Twitter said that they are working together with a select group of well-known brands, including the Lego Group, Dior, Home Depot, Union Los Angeles, and Fossil x Jeff Staple.
