Apparently, the actor of "Captain America" is a fan of the iPhone's home button.

Chris Evans Replaced His iPhone 6S With a Newer iPhone Model

After several years owning an iPhone 6s, Chris Evans finally upgraded in June. Since Apple has abandoned the Home Button and curved design, he isn't too pleased with that change, according to Appleinsider and The Verge.

"I'll miss your home button", Evans wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post to his six-year-old iPhone. He claimed he wouldn't miss the blurry photos or the abrupt decrease in battery life from 100% to 15% of his old phone, though.

While on a press tour for "The Gray Man," a $200 million+ spy film on Netflix directed by the Russo brothers and starring him and Ryan Gosling, The Verge noted that the topic came up in his interview with Collider.

What Are Evan's Complaints With His New Phone?

Evans' other major concern, besides the lack of a home button and the curved design, is that it is simply too heavy. The actor is uncomfortable supporting the phone with his pinky finger, just like many other individuals who have trouble holding larger phones. He made it clear that he did not want an iPhone SE.

"I'm like, no, I don't want (the iPhone SE), I want the iPhone 6," says Evans (via Appleinsider). "I want something from before to work until it doesn't work anymore."

He Switched to iPhone 12

According to Collider (via The Verge), Evans clarified that his new phone is an iPhone 12, not the iPhone 13 Pro that some had assumed it to be based on the initial Instagram photo. The cameras clearly demonstrate that this model is a Pro model.

However, the older model, which Apple discontinued last fall but is still easily accessible from various retailers and carrier stores, was not mentioned in the interview as to where he purchased it.

He Is Not the Only One Who Missed iPhone's Home Button

Evans is not the only person who misses the iPhone home button, which Apple replaced on the iPhone 7 with a solid circle with taptic engine feedback before eliminating it completely on the iPhone X. The home button is also preferred by Donald Trump, according to The Verge.

Will Apple Bring Back iPhone's Home Button?

Apple doesn't seem to be planning to bring back the iconic button, as per The Verge. However, there are other accessibility options for the iPhone that could enhance your mobile experience.

This includes utilizing AssistiveTouch to add a software-based virtual home button that you can position wherever on your screen.

Projects of Christ Evans

According to Appleinsider, Evans starred in the Apple TV+ series "Defending Jacob," and he'll be back for more work. His and Scarlett Johansson's "Project Artemis," which will be available on the platform in the future, reportedly cost Apple $100 million.
