Ford Motor unveiled on Monday morning the F-150 Raptor R. The vehicle is an updated version of its high-performance, off-road pickup.
It has a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 700 horsepower and 640 foot-pounds of torque, according to CNBC report.
The truck is quite expensive as the initial price is $109,145. But this price already includes destination and delivery charges.
What's New with F-150 Raptor R Pickup
While the F-150 Raptor R Pickup appears to be similar to the company's F-150 Raptor, Ford tweaks some aspects of the design. The company also offers a significant improvement in performance and off-road parts.
For comparison, you will find that the regular 2022 F-150 Raptor is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine. The said engine produces 450 horsepower and 510 foot-pounds of torque.
On the other hand, "R" is powered by 5.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 700 horsepower and 640 foot-pounds of torque. The engine of Raptor R is previously used by Ford for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
Ford could've just easily use a V8 engine in the Raptor R but the vehicle needs be durable enough. Thus, the company equipped it with a larger oil pan, and a new oil cooler.
The Raptor R also got a new front axle, a larger aluminum driveshaft, plus an active exhaust system with pass-through mufflers and valving, according to CNET.
The new Ford vehicle has Fox Live Valve shocks in addition to coil springs. Moreover, you'll find a 13 inches of wheel travel in the front and 14.1 inches in the rear of Raptor R.
According to Ford, the Raptor R's is limited by the vehicle's 37-inch all-terrain tires, thus, its top speed is 112 mph.
For better extraction, Ford improved the hood's dome size by about 1 inch. You'll find the grille, bumpers and fender flares painted with black. Meanwhile, you'll see an orange R badges adorning the grille, power dome and tailgate.
Inside the vehicle, expect the standard Recaro seats, which are covered in black leather and Alcantara suede.
There's also a 12-inch touchscreen that runs the Ford's Sync 4 infotainment system. This includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and over-the-air updates.

Ordering of F-150 Raptor R Starts on Monday
Raptor R is the result of customers "demanding the sound and power of a V8 back in Raptor," according to Carl Widmann, chief engineer of Ford performance.
Since 2014, the company hasn't offered a V-8 engine in a Raptor model.
According to the company, they will start producing the F-150 Raptor R at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant in Michigan in the fall. You can start ordering the vehicle on Monday through franchised Ford dealers.
Since launching the first Raptor model in 2009, the company has largely dominated the high-performance pickup truck market.
However, Stellantis' Ram Trucks brand has been gaining attention in recent years. Its Ram 1500 TRX, a 702-horsepower pickup with supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine and 650 foot-pounds of torque, has been grabbing headlines.
The new Raptor is a little behind the performance of the Ram TRX. However, among the vehicles of Ford, Raptor R is the company's highest-powered engine.
