Google released a new update that makes the screenshot photos easier to locate through the rollout on all Android devices.
Google Photos Android app now offers an app shortcut called "view screenshot."
Lately, it appears as though Google has been concentrating more on streamlining and simplifying the operation of the Photos app rather than introducing big new features.
The most recent update, for instance, made it easier to share numerous photographs at once by adding a card that slides out from the bottom of the screen.
Android's Google Photos New Update
Android's new feature, which allows users to tap directly to their screenshot shortcut, is a feature brought by the new update in the Google Photos app version 5.97.
Google's Photos app is not just a piece of software users can add a shortcut to. Users will also be able to rapidly access their preferred apps or materials with this most recent version of the upgrade.
Users will be able to personalize their home screens thanks to a Google update. They have the ability to add and organize apps, as well as create shortcuts to content within apps and widgets that display information without the need to launch apps.
Although an important reminder, some of these steps work only on Android 9 and up.
According to Google, to add the shortcut to the home screen,
First, users need to create a shortcut. To do so, touch and hold the app.
After touching and holding the app for a moment, users can then release their fingers. They will get a list of shortcuts in the program.
To access the shortcut, select the app, then touch and hold it.
Then move the app shortcut to the desired location on the home screen device. Then users can lift their finger to set the app's new location.
With this feature, users may easily view and share all of their screenshots from a single page by tapping on the app's icon, which sends them directly to the folder containing all of their screenshots on their smartphone.
This makes a huge difference. It provides ease as there is no longer a need to browse through the plethora of folders located in the device's library just to access the screenshot that has recently been taken.
Google Version 5.97 Update
As part of the update that was rolled out to Google Photos in March, screenshots were given their own in-app shortcut.
The Verge reports, "Alongside a new layout experience for Android users that offers either a grid or a list view with sorted categories, a button could appear at the top of the app pointing to the screenshots in their own folder."
Additionally, that layout made it simple to locate alone, as opposed to the agony of having to scroll through an extensive collection of selfies and numerous kinds of photos through a user's files.
It would appear that Google has been placing a greater emphasis on screenshots with these.
All of these upgrades make sense as screenshots are one of the most used product services that everybody uses from time to time.
Google then wants to double down on what works and further develop that area, allowing enhancements like deleting, editing, and sharing of screenshots to better improve their products.
