Facebook is launching new features with Home and Deeds Tabs.
Facebook's news feed is getting a new update. This time, it will be a split off.
Today, Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, made an announcement that the company is going to make it simpler for people to choose the content that they see and discover on the platform.
According to Engadget, Facebook has introduced new tabs called Home and Feeds, both of which provide users with additional control while also providing possibilities for the app to promote its suggested content.
When users launch the Facebook app, the first thing that they will see will be the "Home" tab.
The Home tab is where Facebook will show users "Suggested For You" posts and contents and will be based on the app's algorithm.
This will be the place where you might discover new, unique, and old content that users might potentially like.
On the contrary, a completely new tab called "Feeds." The Feeds tab is designed to display the most recent posts from a user's friends lists, pages, groups, videos, and numerous other interesting content that the user is following.
Facebook Feeds Tab
Facebook's Feeds tab lets users easily see the most recent posts from their friends, pages, and groups. In Feeds, users can expect that there will be no suggested content or advertisements featured in them.
Users can curate a Favorites list of the friends and Pages they care about most and filter their content in this new tab.
This tab will help users stay updated and in the loop with the people and things that matter most to them.
Meta stated that they understand that users now want more control and options on what they want to see and engage with versus what they do not want to see and engage with.
To those users who just want to see Facebook to keep themselves updated with their loved ones and friends, the Feeds tab will surely be more suitable for them.
The Feeds tab on a Facebook user's profile makes it simple to view posts and updates from Facebook friends and communities the user already maintains connections with.
With today's release, users may see Feeds as a tab in the shortcut bar; this bar can be found at the bottom of the app on iOS, and it can be found at the top of the app on Android.

With this new release, the Home tab will now completely shift towards becoming a "Suggested For You" or "For You Page."
