AMD has finally released its new feature, Noise Suppression.
Last week, it was reportedly leaked on the internet that AMD was brewing a new technology to compete with NVIDIA's RTX Voice.
AMD accidentally uploaded the video introduction of the new feature on their YouTube channel and left it public for a short while, after which it was quickly returned to private again.
It was reported that, when the AMD Noise Suppression function is enabled, a new virtual audio device will be installed, which users are free to utilize in the programs they are currently running.
Back then, when the teaser video was released by the company, AMD Noise Suppression appeared to be a new feature that could be accessed in the Audio and Video Tab of the Adrenalin driver.
And with today's release, that speculation and assumption have now been finally proven right.
AMD's Noise Suppression
AMD's newly released feature operates in a manner that is quite comparable to that of NVIDIA's RTX Broadcast.
It is designed to provide the utmost audio quality to users by filtering out undesired background noise coming from a user's own microphone, environment, or even from the device of another person when the user is on a call.
When a user is concentrating on an important meeting or trying to stay locked in on a competitive game, improved concentration and greater clarity are provided by AMD Noise Suppression thanks to its ability to reduce the amount of background audio noise coming from the environment in which the user is located.
According to AMD, this new feature works for both the user's input and output devices across any AMD-powered system.
It eliminates unwanted background noise captured on the user's microphone or from someone else's device, and it does so by employing a real-time deep learning algorithm to reduce the amount of noise in the audio background.
Since AMD has integrated its Noise Suppression feature right into the Adrenalin UI, users will no longer be required to download a separate program in order to use it.
If users have the most recent Adrenalin Edition update, version 22.7.1, it already contains the newly released Noise Suppression feature.
However, to make use of AMD Noise Suppression, users will require a CPU from the Ryzen 5000 series or higher or a GPU from the Radeon RX 6000 series or newer.

AMD's OpenGL Performance Update
AMD's newest feature is not the only announcement the company made. AMD stated that more OpenGL optimizations are included in its most recent drivers in addition to background noise reduction.
According to The Verge, AMD Software now adds OpenGL optimizations, providing updated support for users who can experience up to an astounding 85% gain in performance in games such as Minecraft. These optimizations are geared toward gamers who like playing games that run on the OpenGL platform.
Furthermore, Radeon RX 5000 and 6000 series GPUs GPUs on AMD Ryzen processor notebooks with hybrid graphics will now receive support from RadeonTM Super Resolution.
Additionally, RSR now offers a more smooth experience for borderless fullscreen games, enabling you to change the resolution directly within AMD Software.
Lastly, as mentioned by The Verge, "Radeon Boost with Variable Rate Shading has also been added to Elden Ring, Valorant, and Resident Evil Village."
Clearly, Radeon Boost will also be made available for a wide variety of games, with the guarantee that even more will follow with each new update to the AMD Software.
