Today, the experimental browser that Apple first introduced in March 2016, the Safari Technology Preview, got a new update from the tech company.
Safari Technology Preview was designed to test features that "may be introduced into future release versions of Safari," as per MacRumors.
According to iMore, the latest version of Safari Technology Preview added a number of significant updates for the underlying technology that powers the browser.
What are Included in the Safari Technology Preview 150?
Apple has released Safari Technology Preview 150, which includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, CSS, Shadow DOM, JavaScript, Web Animations, Web Share, WebAuthn, Web API, Rendering, and Accessibility.
However, Apple has also noted that there are some features that do not work with this version of the browser. One of those is the Shared Tab Groups.
According to iMore, the features "Shared Tab Groups and syncing for Tab Groups, Website Settings, and Web Extensions" are not authorized in this release.
Most of the features included in the update are the typical round of bug fixes and enhancements. The features are not something most users will notice, however, it's something developers will be aware of.
You can download and test Safari Technology Preview. The release notes of the Safari Technology Preview 150 are available on the Apple Developer website.
The latest version of the browser offers an experimental version of Safari, which users running a Mac with beta of macOS Ventura or macOS Monterey can use.
Safari Technology Preview lets developers and even the curious users test the latest features of Apple's browser. Afterwards, they can provide feedback to the company, which will be considered before the public version rolls out for everyone's use.
Currently, it is unknown when the new features in Safari Technology Preview 150 will be rolled out to the general public.

Safari Technology Preview 150 Works with Ventura but Not with Big Sur
The current Safari Technology Preview release provides support for feature coming in macOS Ventura like Live Text, Passkeys, and Web Extension improvements. It is created on the Safari 16 update.
Unlike earlier versions of Safari Technology Preview, the new build of the browser works with machines running macOS 13 Ventura. However, it is no longer compatible with macOS Big Sur.
Last month, Apple released the Safari Technology Preview 147, just like the recent update, it comes with several macOS Ventura features.
The Safari Technology Preview 147 already have the Live Text, support for Apple Passkeys, and improved Safari Web Extensions, as per Apple Insider.
But it seems that Apple wasn't able to resolve the missing features issues as the Tab Groups syncing, Website Settings, and Web Extensions. These missing features from last month's update are still not present in the latest 150.
For those who had already downloaded the browser, the Safari Technology Preview update can be accessed through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.
The goal of Apple for releasing the Safari Technology Preview is to gather reviews from developers and users that will aid the company in the browser development process.
You can use Safari Technology Preview side-by-side with the existing Safari browser. And despite being created for developers, a developer account is not necessary to download it.
