Verizon is finally offering the HTC One and you can pick one up for $199.99 or you can get it from Jennifer Lopez and Viva Movil for $99.99.
We covered an event Verizon held during CTIA in May that brought Jennifer Lopez into yet another business venture. The wireless carrier was making a "huge" announcement that it would be entering into a partnership with a Latino company called Viva Movil. Verizon put on quite a show, dimming the lights and playing Jennifer Lopez's "Jenny From The Block;" once the lights came up, Jennifer Lopez was posing on stage and ready to begin reading off a teleprompter. She told the crowd how excited she was for the partnership with Verizon and the company said that she is now the "Chief Creative Officer" for, Viva Movil by Jennifer Lopez.
Viva Movil is a wireless service that was created for Latinos, according to Jennifer Lopez's speech. She announced that it would soon be launching stores to give Latinos a place to purchase smartphones, tablets, and other devices and leave the store with everything set up. The service uses Verizon's network, complete with its 4G LTE network and sells existing Verizon smartphones and tablets, including the just-launched HTC One. Verizon is offering the smartphone for $199.99, but Viva Movil is offering the same smartphone on the same 4G LTE network for just $99.99. Now you can't say Jennifer Lopez never gave you anything.
The HTC One features an anodized aluminum unibody enclosure and sports a 4.7-inch SuperLCD 3 Full HD (1080p) display that is also scratch-resistant.
