Sennheiser Announces the Momentum 4 Headphones: Here's What You Have to Know

Sennheiser has announced the released of its latest Momentum noise-canceling headphones.

The company has just launched the Momentum 4, which comes with an exterior redesign, new features plus an amazing 60 hours of batter life, as per Engadget.

Sennheiser's New Flagship Offers Exceptional Comfort

The new flagship is priced at $349.96. It looks much different from the previous models as the Momentum 4 is more lightweight, with a comfortable design compared to the company's previous models having a signature retro aesthetic.

Sennheiser said that compared to the Momentum 3 Wireless, that the new Momentum 4 offers "exceptional comfort" in addition to a superior active noise cancellation, as per The Verge.

Sennheiser bid goodbye to the mix of metal and leather with visible cables. Instead, the company has traded previous design to a more simplified, more plastic material.

While the look of Momentum 4 is less premium than previous Momentum models, the company ensured that it has increased comfort.

You can easily adjust the new hinge and it doesn't put too much pressure on your head. In addition, you can also rotate the earcups flat now. This makes storage a bit easier.

Aside from the redesign, another selling point of the wireless headset is the battery life. According to Sennheiser, the Momentum 4 can last up to 60 hours of playback time on a single charge.

The battery life of Momentum 4 is far beyond the 20 to 30 hours record of competitors such as Sony's WH-1000XM5, Bose's QuietComfort 45, and Apple's AirPods Max.

According to The Verge, the company kept the terrific sound quality of the third-generation, as both models utilize 42-millimeter drivers "that are tuned for brilliant dynamics, clarity and musicality."

According to Engadget, the new headset also allows you to use an EQ, presets, and a new Sound Personalization feature to make adjustment with the tuning.

Your personal preferences is taken into account when you use Sound Personalization and it adjusts "the listening experience" accordingly.

Momentum 4 Features are Superior

Active noise cancellation (ANC) is on board in Momentum 4. According to Sennheiser, even in the noisiest of surroundings, the headphone's updated adaptive ANC can maintain sound quality.

Moreover, based on your location, this model can automatically modify sound settings. This is a feature that Sennheiser first introduced in March.

Another feature that Sennheiser offers is the Sidetone. This lets you to modify how much of your voice is heard during calls.

You can expect an improved voice call performance in Momentum 4. Sennheiser follow the trends of other popular noise-canceling headphone, as it removed the physical button controls and adopted the tap and swipe gestures.

The new headphones model can no longer fold up but when you buy it, you'll also get an improved case with hard shell protection.

Like the previous models, you'll enjoy convenience features such as multipoint connectivity, and wired USB-C audio.

In addition, Momentum 4 comes with replaceable ear pads, which is now made from artificial leather. Sennheiser previously used genuine leather.

Regarding Bluetooth codecs, Sennheiser's latest flagship supports AAC, SBC, aptX, and aptX Adaptive.

Momentum 4 is available for pre-order on August 9, and will hit the store on August 23.
