Apex Legends Season 14 Features a New Hero

A total of 510,286 players got into the Respawn Entertainment's battle royale game on Tuesday to check what's new with the game.

The recorded number has naturally declined since then, but the record is an evidence of the players' interest in the current season.

The Steam Charts Service shared the Steam stats for Apex Legends. They currently lists the lofty player count as "both the 24-hour peak and the all-time peak for the game," as per ComicBook.

Before Tuesday's recorded all-time player count, the peak was, according to the Steam's record, appears to be 411,183 players. It was achieved on April 25th, the day when the new trailer for Season 13 was launched.

We do not know what warrant the peak that was recorded last Tuesday, it could be the enticing patch notes for Season 14.

The patch notes indicated that it was full of buffs for different champions like Mad Maggie and Newcastle that made players drew back in. Another probable reason is the new champion herself, Vantage.

The newest Legend taking part in the Apex Legends "comes with a winged friend, some mobility, and superior snipes to pick enemies," as per ComicBook.

One ability of the newest Legend is the Spotter's Lens that can aim down sights to hunt with your eyepiece. It has the ability to use a bullet drop indicator to know the spot where your shots will land.

For the tactical, you can strategically place the location of Echo. You can position your winged companion Echo and then you can launch towards him.

Another ability is the Sniper's Mark that allows you to use your custom sniper rifle to mark enemy targets. You and your team can get a big damage bonus.

Apex Legends Has a Steady Growth in Popularity Since it Was Launched

Since its release in 2019, Apex Legends has underwent a steady growth in popularity.

It was reported in May that Respawn Entertainment, the video game publisher, earned over 2 billion bucks from Apex Legends.

Over the last years, there have been quite consistent updates for the free-to-play battle royale. In addition, a new Season begins every three months.

In May, Respawn Entertainment launched a mobile version of Apex Legends. The game in mobile has its own separate battle pass, in-game events, and cosmetics from the PC and console version of Apex Legends.

According to the GameSpot's Apex Legends Mobile review, the game was rated 7/10.

The reviewer Jordan Ramée said: "Overall, Apex Legends Mobile is exactly what's being advertised: This is Apex Legends, but on mobile devices."

Ramée said that Respawn Entertainment has made some serious adjustments to its battle royale in order to make the game work for mobile, particularly when it comes to visuals and performance.
