AT&T is expected to launch the Nokia Lumia 925 sometime in September. In preparation, AT&T has officially lowered the price of the Lumia 920 to $49.99.
There have been rumors that AT&T will be receiving the current T-Mobile exclusive, Nokia Lumia 925. The smartphone will join the Lumia 1020, 920, and 520 in the carrier's current Lumia lineup. When Nokia announced the Lumia 925 it described the smartphone as a "new interpretation" of the Lumia 920 and it the handset comes with similar specs and rumored $99 price tag.
As AT&T prepares to launch the Lumia 925 it is looking to clear inventory of the Lumia 920 and has officially lowered the price of the Lumia 920 from $99.99 to $49.99. The carrier launched the handset almost a year ago and it is still considered to be one of the best Lumias Nokia has ever released. The company has already confirmed that the Lumia 920 will be receiving the Lumia 1020's Pro Camera application and other imaging features in an upcoming software update.
The Nokia Lumia 920 features a 4.5-inch 1280 x 768 PureMotion HD+ and ClearBlack Display that blocks incoming light reflections through a polarized layer designed to improve screen visibility in direct sunlight. The smartphone runs Windows Phone 8 and will soon be receiving the Nokia Lumia Amber software update that will add new features to the device, as can be seen in a video leak we reported on recently.
The 920 is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, includes 32GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera that packs in PureView technology and Carl Zeiss optics with 26mm focal length and dual-LED flash, HD 1080p video capture @ 30fps with hardware optical image stabilization, a 1.2-megapixel front camera with 720p video capture, 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, a non-removable 2,000mAh battery with up to 9 hours of talk time and 13 days standby time, and built-in wireless charging support.
