Motorola Razr 2022, the rival clamshell foldable of Samsung's all-new Galaxy Z Flip 4, officially debuts, and it boasts a buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate OLED display and top-notch specs.
Motorola has shamelessly formally introduced its newest foldable smartphone in China a day after Samsung launched its Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Moto Razr 2022 Launch
As per the latest news by GSM Arena, the renowned phone maker Motorola has finally unveiled its new Moto Razr 2022, flaunting its impressive flagship smartphone specs.
The all-new Moto Razr still sports its distinct clamshell foldable look.
But this time, it boasts a better OLED screen and a much more powerful chipset, which sets it apart from its previous iterations.
However, it is worth noting that Motorola only opened the pre-orders for the new foldable flagship in China, where its launch was held as well.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is currently taking pre-orders globally since debuted yesterday.
In the meantime, GSM Arena adds that the phone maker has yet to officially announce any global release for its newest clamshell mobile device. So it is unclear if the rest of the world is getting their hands on the Moto Razr 2022.
The launch of the new Razr foldable unveiled its full specifications, including its dual rear cameras, fascinating flexible display, and a new flagship-level processor.
Besides the new foldable offering, the Chinese phone maker debuts two new smartphones, the Motorola S30 Pro and the Motorola X30 Pro.
Razr 2022 144Hz Display and Other Specs
Going back to the new clamshell phone in town, here are its full specs.
According to a recent report by Android Central, the Moto Razr 2022 now sports an impressively fast OLED display, which distinctively folds like a clamshell.
It features a 6.7-inch OLED display, which supports a buttery smooth refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
It should make doom scrolling on Instagram or Reddit look more amazing. But on top of that, it is also best for mobile gamers when playing fast-paced gaming titles like Call of Duty Mobile.
The foldable OLED interestingly sports a matte finish rather than the glossy look that we typically see in smartphones these days.
Besides the top-notch display, it also comes with dual rear cameras, a 50MP primary snapper, and a 13MP ultra-wide and macro shooter. Meanwhile, the selfie camera goes as high as 32MP.
The new Razr also features the latest flagship chipset, none other than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, which dominates premium Android smartphones nowadays, except for the Google Pixel.
