When Google revealed Pixel Watch during the I/O earlier this year, the company confirmed that the new device will be equipped with a full suite of Fit Bit features. This includes sleep tracking.
Recently, 9to5Mac conducted an APK (Android Package Kit) teardown to hint at possible features of the Pixel Watch. Based on the APK teardown, it appears like the Pixel Watch will have short battery life.
Reports Revealed That Pixel Watch Will Only Have 24 Hours Battery Life
Following the Fitbit Premium subscription available today, a Fitbit tracker or a smartwatch can be used to monitor each night's sleep.
The device can measure your time spent awake, restless, and asleep. Your device can also check your heart rate. Moreover, Fitbit Premium will also be able to monitor your sleep stages.
Since the launch of Pixel Watch, we've already known it would have some Fitbit integration.
When Google unveiled the smartwatch at Google I/O, the company said that the Pixel Watch would include the full suite of Fitbit features, which include heart rate tracking, active minutes, and sleep monitoring.
But unlike Fitbit wearables which "can get multiple days of usage on a single charge," 9to5Mac said that the estimated battery life of Pixel Watch's is closer only to 24 hours per charge.
To avoid interruption of your sleep tracking, you have to ensure that you were able to charge up your Pixel Watch before going to bed.
A new in-app text related to evening charge reminders for your Pixel Watch comes with the latest update on the Fitbit app, version 3.65.
When you enable this upcoming toggle, you will receive a notification from Fitbit shortly before your bedtime schedule that's reminding you to charge your watch.
According to 9to5Mac, the notification seems to confirm their report of the Pixel Watch's 24-hour estimated battery life.

24 Hours Battery Life is a Bare Minimum When it Comes to Smart Watches
Based on the Fitbit app recommendation, your watch should be charged to at least 30% before going to sleep.
If this Fitbit recommendation is based on the eight hours of nightly sleep, then this only means that 30% of the Pixel Watch's battery is good for at least eight hours of heart rate monitoring.
However, the 24 hour battery life of Pixel Watch is still a speculation. We'll get to see what Google's latest smartwatch offers once it goes on sale.
We have to be reminded that an APK teardown focuses only on in-progress features. This means that there is no guarantee that said features will actually roll out in the actual product.
According to TechRadar, a day of battery life seems to be the bare minimum when it comes to smartwatches. It is highly unlikely that consumers would want to buy a wearable that needs to be charge during the day as well as overnight.
The 24 hours between charges is the same thing that you'll get from the Apple Watch. This has been the case since the first version of the wearable was released, and it doesn't affect the sales of the product.
However, Apple and Google might get left behind in terms of battery life as smartwatches from Garmin and Samsung usually get two days or more between charges.
