Star Wars fans will get a chance to see "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" on cinema once again.
Before "Andor" debut on Disney+ on September 21, Disney is re-releasing "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" in selected IMAX theaters in the U.S. on August 26.
In addition with the re-release of the 2016 film, viewers will get a chance to have an exclusive look at the new Disney+ Star Wars series, "Andor."
The showing of "Rogue One" will give Star Wars fans a chance to watch the film again before Diego Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor in the new Disney+ series, as per Engadget.
'Rogue One' is a Story of Unlikely Heroes
The events of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is set before the original Star Wars film, "A New Hope."
The story takes place in a time of conflict. In the movie, there's a group of unlikely heroes who band together on a mission. The group is set to steal the plans to the Death Star, which is the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction, as per What's On Disney Plus.
The event in the movie is a key element in the Star Wars timeline that brings together ordinary people who made a decision to do something extraordinary. Thus, in deciding to do so, they've become part of "something greater than themselves."
The movie narrated the Rebel Alliance's first effective victory against the Empire, which was first referenced in Star Wars' opening crawl.
The film was directed by Gareth Edwards, while the screenplay was made by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, from a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta.
"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" was produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The movie was the first installment of the Star Wars anthology series.
The movie starred Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker.

'Andor' Highlights the Story of Cassian Andor
The events in the new "Andor" series take place before the events of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."
The series is debuting exclusively on Disney+ on September 21. It is coming with a three-episode premiere. It will consist of 12 episodes, with new episodes to be released every Wednesday after the premiere.
"Andor" is centered on Cassian Andor's journey to find out the difference he can make. The series looks at a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy.
The series highlights the story of the "burgeoning rebellion" against the Empire. It focuses on how people and planets became involved in the rebellion.
"Andor" is set in an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue. Amid all these difficulties, Cassian will take on the path that will turn him into a rebel hero.
Diego Luna reprises his role Cassian Andor. He is joined by cast members Genevieve O'Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw.
The series is executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Tony Gilroy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan. Meanwhile, Tony Gilroy served as the creator and showrunner.
