Here's What You Should Know About Disney D23 Expo

The Disney D23 Expo will begin in just a few weeks, and there is going to be a panel that is all about gaming that you should definitely pay attention to. On September 9, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, there will be a presentation showcasing several upcoming films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox.

The first Disney and Marvel Games Showcase will make new game announcements. In addition to that, it will include details on forthcoming games such as Disney Dreamlight Valley and Marvel's Midnight Suns, as well as a first peek at something brand new for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

On top of everything else, we'll get a sneak glimpse at an upcoming Marvel action-adventure title developed by Skydance New Media, owned and operated by Amy Hennig.

The showcase will be shown live on the D23, Disney, and Marvel channels on YouTube and Twitter, as well as on the Marvel Twitch channel.

Following the demonstration, participants of D23 will have the opportunity to witness a presentation that includes interviews with game developers and other notable visitors.

It's unknown precisely what kind of announcements will be made at the event, given that it is Disney and Marvel's first games showcase, but there are a ton of Marvel and Star Wars games in development to select from.

Despite having a 2023 release date, not much has been reported about Insomniac Games' "Spider-Man 2" since its announcement in September. Insomniac is also working on a Wolverine game, while Marvel Snap, a digital card game, is now in beta and waiting for a release date.

Marvel's 'Ironheart' Series Soon in Disney Plus

Photos from the Ironheart set surfaced on August 8. In Marvel's "Ironheart," Williams, a brilliant inventor who creates Iron Man's most cutting-edge armor, is followed.

Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes will direct the series. Bailey contributed to the Netflix series "Dear White People" in addition to the online comedy "Brown Girls," which was nominated for an Emmy. "Blindspotting," "Mythic Quest," and the upcoming fourth season of "Atlanta" are just a few of Barnes' credits.

Ironheart will be produced in part by Proximity, the company that Ryan Coogler runs. Coogler was the director of both "Black Panther" and its upcoming sequel, "Wakanda Forever," which stars Williams.

Dominique Thorne plays Riri Williams in "Ironheart," as was previously stated. The actor starred in the movies "Judas and the Black Messiah" in 2021 and "If Beale Street Could Talk" in 2014.

The film will make its debut in the fall of 2023. Dominique Thorne will make her acting debut as Williams much earlier, however. She will appear in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," which will be released on November 11.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first season of Marvel's Ironheart will consist of six episodes, and Chinaka Hodge will be the primary author.
