A smartphone owner using a blue version of the HTC One has been spotted in the wild.
Rumors of the blue variant of the HTC One have been circling the smartphone space for quite some time and now it seems that the handset may soon make its way to shelves.
HTC launched its flagship device for 2013, the HTC One, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) earlier this year. The handset also received honors in "the best new mobile handset, device or tablet" category at the event.
The company initially launched the HTC One in Glacier Silver and Stealth Black color options. HTC also launched a Glamour Red color option for the handset in the UK and recently the red color variant of the handset has also arrived in the U.S.
The red model of the HTC One is currently available only in select countries and on select carriers. In the U.S. the red HTC One is exclusive to Sprint. The carrier is selling the handset at a price tag of $99.99 on a two-year contract, which is the same price as the other two colors versions of the handset.
At the beginning of August, @evleaks leaked an image of the blue HTC One. Now an outer shell of the handset in blue color as well as a fully functional blue variant of the HTC One have been spotted in the wild. The fully functional blue HTC One has been spotted in the hands of an owner who seems to be listening to music while travelling by train.
Most probably the blue HTC One will have the same hardware specifications as the other versions of the handset. However, customers who do not prefer the silver, black and red versions of the smartphone will now get a new color option.
Previous rumors indicated that U.S. carrier Verizon will launch its version of the HTC One in the blue avatar. However, the carrier launched the silver and black models of the handset. Now the HTC One is available on all four major carriers in the U.S. so it will be interesting to see which carrier will get the new blue color if launched in the U.S.
