Blacktail Gives Viewers a Good Look on the Game's Combat

Blacktail is an upcoming first-person action-adventure title of Focus Entertainment and The Parasight, according to IGN. It is a game about witchcraft and the legend of Baba Yaga.

A twist on the traditional Slavic myth of Baba Yaga, Blacktail narrates a story of a young girl who was cast out of her home because of accusations that she is practicing witchcraft.

Throughout the game, she wanders and makes choices that will determine the kind of witch she ultimately becomes, whether she will be a guardian of the forest, or an utmost terror.

In the longer trailer shown during Gamescom, the viewers "get a good look" at a lot of Blacktail's combat.

One of the particular highlight is the use of both the bow and arrow. The character's magical abilities were also illustrated, particularly in fighting monsters and wild animals.

The viewers also get a glimpse about the morality system of the game. Based on the morality of the game, viewers can decide the fate of "both the land and those who live in it," as per IGN.

The Parasight developed Blacktail. It was published by Focus Entertainment. The game is intended to be released this winter on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Steam. Pre-orders are available on Steam now.
