Peloton Bike is now available on Amazon, along with its other fitness offerings, such as the Guide and its apparel.
It comes after the fitness gear firm, amid declining sales, had struck a deal with the giant e-commerce platform to sell its products to more customers.
Peloton Bike Now Sells on Amazon
As per the latest report by The Verge, the fitness gear firm has announced that it is joining forces with Amazon to help it sell its phenomenal fitness products, at least during the height of the pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has shuttered gyms during its peak and has forced most employees to work in the confines of their homes.
And as such, the fitness Bike of Peloton and the Guide has become ubiquitous during the lockdowns in various parts of the world to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
But this time, The Verge highlights in its story that Peloton recently confirmed that it would shut down its retail store by next year or in 2023. And to do so, the fitness gear firm plans to rely on third-party logistics.
Not to mention that the fitness firm has consistently admitted that its sales are declining as people are back to their pre-pandemic routines.
All that said, Peloton appears to be trying to save its business by bringing its fitness products to Amazon as it launches its official store on the e-commerce giant.
What to Expect from Peloton's Amazon Store
According to a news story by Engadget, the experience of buying Peloton fitness gear on Amazon is somewhat similar to what the firm offers on its official website. In fact, both the delivery and assembly still come for free.
The Chief Commercial Officer of Peloton, Kevin Cornils, says in a statement that they "want to make it as easy as possible to get a Peloton."
However, The Verge notes in its article that the Amazon offerings of the fitness firm would not include its high-end products, such as the Tread and Bike Plus. But it would sell the Bike and the Guide for $1,445 and $295, respectively.
But besides the fitness gears of Peloton, its Amazon store would also include various accessories, such as dumbbells, water jugs, and bike mats, to name a few. It also offers tons of apparel like hoodies, joggers, and sports bras.
Peloton's Decline
Peloton's arrival on Amazon follows its uncontrollable decline after its surge in sales during the pandemic.
Engadget reports that it has already laid off roughly 600 employees as it stopped making bikes this summer. And just this August, the firm let go of around 780 workers.
