Meta's Horizon Worlds virtual reality Vice President is reportedly leaving the Facebook and Instagram owner.
The departure of the key person to the ambitious metaverse and virtual reality project of Meta comes shortly after its Mark Zuckerberg avatar has been heavily mocked online.

As per the recent report by Reuters, the vice president of Meta for Horizon, its social VR platform, Vivek Sharma, is now parting ways with the Zuckerberg-owned tech giant.
A spokesperson of Meta has confirmed the departure of the Horizon boss to Reuters.
The Facebook owner spokesperson discloses that the team that used to report for Sharma will now be working with the Vice President of Metaverse at Meta, Vishal Shah.
According to a story by The Verge, the Meta spokesperson says that they are "thankful for Vivek's contributions across our Marketplace, gaming and metaverse teams. He also highlights that Sharma has been with Meta for six years.
The spokesperson, Bryan Pope, goes on to add that "the Horizon product group has built a strong team with an ambitious vision."
Despite leading the Meta virtual reality social platform, Sharma took previous top posts at the tech giant, specifically the Facebook Marketplace and Facebook Gaming platforms.
Meta says that Sharma is now parting ways with the tech behemoth as he is pursuing another career opportunity, which is unrelated to his previous post.
