Apple's MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips is entering mass production this fall.
The production and testing of Apple's next-generation 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets are well underway.
Despite the pushback to the fourth quarter, there might still be a chance that the notebooks may be made available later this year.
Apple MacBook Delay
Apple's delay in production will result in the pushback of the release of MacBook Pro models. There are probably numerous reasons behind this, however, MacRumors reports that this could be due to supply chain disruptions.
This rumor around the release and the mass production of the MacBook devices also coincides with what Ming-Chi Kuo, a reputable Apple analyst, recently tweeted last week.
Kuo stated in his tweet, "New 14" and 16" MacBook Pro with new processors will enter mass production in 4Q22."
He also added the information that there is a possibility that the processors of 14" and 16" MacBook Pro models may still adopt the 5nm advanced node.
Although it was reported that Apple's M2 Pro and M2 Max processors could be the company's first chips manufactured on 3nm technology, it is becoming more and more likely that these chips will continue to be manufactured on 5nm technology.
The processors would still perform better than the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips found in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models now on the market.
This is due to Apple's anticipated switch to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's traditional 5nm process "N5" to its more sophisticated 5nm process known as "N5P."
Apple Delay of iPadOS 16
Apple states that iPadOS 16 will not launch until after iOS 16. Apple stated that iPadOS 16 will launch after iOS 16 and will be delayed, according to Bloomberg.
The company stated that this is an exceptionally significant year for iPadOS
Apple confirms this news through a statement in TechCrunch stating, " As its own platform with features specifically designed for iPad, we have the flexibility to deliver iPadOS on its own schedule."
Apple added, "This Fall, iPadOS will ship after iOS, as version 16.1 in a free software update."
To put it simply, the company will release iPadOS 16.1 without first releasing 16.0 in the fall. Accordingly, the initial release of iPadOS 16 will reach non-beta customers following the release of the initial iOS version.
Although the company has not confirmed, it appears likely that the two 16.1 updates will be released at the same time. Despite this move being unusual, it is not unprecedented when it comes to software releases from the company.
The Apple Far Out Event

Apple is rumored to release iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, at 6.1-inch, while the iPhone 14 Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to be at 6.7-inch in size.
Apart from that, the company is also expected to release the Apple Watch Series 8 models and news around the release of iPadOS 16.
All of the rumors and speculations regarding what will be released and what products will be pushed back will be confirmed during the event.
