Although the roll-out of Truth Social was plagued by issues, it was eventually released on the Apple App Store in February.
Donald Trump's Truth Social app's hype train appears to be disintegrating following a promising start, as we previously reported in March.
Many people created profiles as soon as Trump's social networking site became accessible, but they were put in queue.
Thankfully, these issues have been resolved now. In fact, there has been a spike of new users in the app.
However, after the new social media platform overcame technical problems, it is apparently facing another issue with Google.
Truth Social App Has Been Barred From the Google Play Store
Google Play has barred former US President Donald Trump's social media site. According to Google, the absence of content moderation has prevented it from accepting app submissions.
The tech giant said the platform is in violation of its rules against posting anything that makes physical threats or incites violence, according to the report by BBC.
Android users will find it challenging to download the app as a result of the change.
The social networking site was said to be designed to promote an open, free, and honest global discussion without discriminating against political viewpoint. However it appears that this "openness" is the reason why the app hasn't yet been released on the Google Play Store, as per Androidcentral.
It should be noted that Apple and Google should approve the app to be downloadable on the vast majority of the world's phones.

The Response of the Truth Social
Per Androidcentral, the reasoning behind Truth Social's exclusion from the Play Store are detailed in an Axios report. A Google representative told the publication that the lack of content control is the main reason Truth Social isn't available on Android.
"On Aug. 19, we notified Truth Social of several violations of standard policies in their current app submission and reiterated that having effective systems for moderating user-generated content is a condition of our terms of service for any app to go live on Google Play."
The spokesman claims that Truth Social is now attempting to allay Google's worries.
Truth Social App Launched in Apple's iOS
The app is having trouble launching in Google, but it has been released on Apple's App Store in February.
In fact, there has been a spike of new users after the recent FBI raid on the former president's Florida home.
The FBI issued a search order at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on Aug. 8. This is a part of an investigation into possible handling of sensitive presidential documents there after they were brought there.
Between July 31 and Aug. 7, hardly less than 20,000 users downloaded the app. However, according to data.ai, a market analytics company, which provided numbers to Gizmodo, that number jumped to more than 100,000 downloads after the search incident took place.
