On November 30, Nintendo and Cygames will discontinue Dragalia Lost, but a number of changes will be apparent as early as now. Anyone attempting to launch the mobile game after the service has been terminated will get a message stating that the service is no longer available.
Nintendo Has Confirmed the Official Date for Dragalia Lost's End
Dragalia Lost, a role-playing video game from Nintendo and Cygames, will no longer be available soon. After an initial announcement in March regarding its shutdown, on August 30, Nintendo released a statement confirming the final date of the video game's end of service, which will be on November 30.
Anyone who tries to start the mobile video game after the server has been shut down will receive a notification informing them that the service has been terminated and will not be allowed to proceed.
In March, both gaming firms released the last major update for Dragalia Lost, which is Nintendo's first original mobile video game. As of August 30, the game's premium currency, the Diamantum, is not available anymore. With this being said, before November 30, people should expect that a lot of changes will start to occur.
Aside from confirming that the game will not have an offline version, users will not be able to have in-game purchases of upgrade necessities and packs using Diamantum starting October 31 at 2 am. However, if players have any leftover in-game currency, they may use them for gameplay-related things like summoning, building up the Halidom castle's infrastructure, and regaining stamina.
When the corporations said they would shut down the game, apparent reasons why were not disclosed. Even though it never quite attained the level of popularity of games like Genshin Impact, it wasn't a failure either. Nintendo hasn't exactly made significant investments in mobile gaming, and the company has long been hostile to the idea of developing games specifically for phones.
Nintendo Said It Will Not Have a Price Hike for Switch
In spite of the announcement regarding Dragalia Lost's upcoming demise, Nintendo relieved its users upon announcing earlier that it will not increase the prices for its Switch.
In contrast to other gaming companies, Nintendo has confirmed that it would not add the Switch to the list of electronic devices that have seen price increases due to inflationary pressures, such as Sony's PS5.
With the exception of Japan, which will only see a price hike on September 15, Sony proposed retail pricing that will take effect immediately for its PlayStation 5 game systems on August 25. Consumers in a number of areas, including the UK, Europe, Japan, China, Australia, Mexico, and Canada, will be impacted by the price hike.
Alongside this, Quest 2 VR headset from Meta also saw a rate increase of $100 at the beginning of August.
Because of the economic crisis, the manufacturer increased the cost of their console. Its price increase coincided with a decline in Nintendo and Microsoft's second-quarter results.
Regardless, reiterating what business president Shuntaro Furukawa informed shareholders in June, the corporation sent a statement to Eurogamer. It said, ''We currently do not have any plans to change the price of our hardware due to inflation or increased procurement costs in each country. We will determine our future pricing strategies through careful and continued deliberations.''
