There have been reports about Sonos introducing a new, cheaper, and smaller subwoofer to its selection of home entertainment devices.
A few months ago, Sonos accidentally released key information in its mobile app, sparking speculation about such a device.
According to a news story by The Verge, a Redditor spotted a "Sub Mini" featured in the Sonos mobile app. The Redditor stated back in November of last year that Sonos referred to the Sub Mini as a "smaller, cylindrical subwoofer".
Well, these rumors have been eventually confirmed to be true.
However, there has been another "leak" associated with Sonos small subwoofer.
Leaked Photos of Sonos Sub Mini
A website named WinFuture.de posted images of the claimed renders of the Sonos Sub Mini more than nine months after the rumors about the smaller, less expensive subwoofer first surfaced on Reddit.
The Sonos Sub Mini is seen in the leaks in both white and black alongside other Sonos products, indicating that several bundles might be in the works, according to a news story by The Verge.
Unfortunately, there aren't many details, specifications, or release dates included with the images.
For such a long time, there has been mystery around this tiny device. Fans of Sonos are undoubtedly anticipating its release.
But as WinFuture notes, these promotional images imply that it might very likely launch between October and December.

Another Rumor: Sonos Optimo 2
Recently, there have been many rumors regarding Sonos, and it appears that there are a number of products in the works.
Well, there is a rumor going around about its upcoming flagship Sonos speaker.
The rumors said that the company's next flagship device would be condemned as Optimo 2, and has the ability to emit sound in all directions.
Pocket-lint noted that that name is supposed to be a codename, implying that it might be an internal name and that the speaker will really be marketed under a different name when it is released.
For instance, the Sonos Ray soundbar's codename was Fury before the release date's official name emerged. In other words, it's possible that the official name of Sonos upcoming device will not be "Optimo."
We won't likely get this Sonos speaker until around 2023. It is worth noting that it is purely speculation based on prior launch cycles.
According to reports, the company is also thinking of introducing a USB-C line-in playback option. When they are released, black and white versions are expected to be available.
As previously mentioned, the Sonos Optimo 2 speaker is reportedly the brand's next flagship model. Considering the speculations around it, don't anticipate a cheap price tag.
It was said that the price for Sonos Optimo 2 is expected to be more than $500 in the U.S. and over £500 in the U.K.
