Elon Musk teased that Tesla Full Self Driving (FSD) Beta 10.69.2 is likely to release to its electric vehicle (EV) owners by the "end of [the] week."
The latest version of the FSD Beta was supposed to roll out along with the price hike of the driving assistant software on September 5.
However, it looks like it has been delayed for a few days, no less than the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of the all-electric automaker, Musk, has confirmed.
Elon Musk: Tesla FSD Beta 10.69.2 Release
The big boss of Tesla announced in his recent tweet that his giant EV maker is looking to start rolling out the latest version of FSD Beta to roughly 100,000 testers before this week comes to an end.
As per the latest report by Tesla North, the wealthiest man in the world discloses that the "release of 10.69.2" is "probably" by the end of this week.
Given that, it should be available no later than September 10. However, it is worth noting that the Tesla boss himself is not quite sure about its release just yet. But potentially, it should be released by the end of this week.
Besides the potential release date, Musk goes on to reveal the cause of its delay. The tech entrepreneur bares that the latest 10.69.2 version of the FSD Beta still "needs a bit more polish."
The chief executive failed to provide explicit details regarding the refinements that the software still needs. So it is unclear what could have been the specific cause of the delay.
But what is for sure by now is that the latest version is not yet ready to roll out to thousands of Tesla testers out there.
Tesla FSD Beta 10.69
According to a recent report by Teslarati, the giant automaker released version 10.69.1 of the FSD Beta to around 10,000 testers on the last day of August.
The current update improves the overall experience of the 10.69 release as it fixes a bunch of bugs.
Meanwhile, the early 10.69 version of the driver assists software vows to provide a much smoother driving experience as it worked on issues like false slowdowns and reduced latency.
But this time, Musk says that the upcoming 10.69.2 version brings significant changes to the software. Yet, he notes that it only includes a "relatively small number of code changes." The CEO further states that the update coming by the end of this week is introducing a significant "practical effect."
