iOS 16 Rolls Out on September 12: Here’s What to Expect

The release date of iOS 16, which is on September 12, was one of several significant announcements made by Apple on September 7, however, not all users were able to access it.

Here is What iOS 16 Could Offer

At their iPhone 2022 event on September 7, Apple launched a number of products, including its Apple Watch Ultra line and the new iPhone 14 series. On the same day, the company announced that qualifying models would finally get access to the iOS 16 operating system beginning on September 12 (via Engadget).

In order for users to benefit from iOS 16, they must be using iPhone models, like the iPhone 8 onwards, as well as prior generations of the iPhone SE, such as the second and third generations.

The company's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which took place in June, saw the release of the latest operating system. It was shown at the time with a new lock screen feature that offered more customization options, according to Tech Crunch.

Those who are able to update their smartphones to iOS 16 will have the opportunity to enjoy an enhanced version of Live Text, the capability to send and receive photographs, an improved messaging service, and an expanded selection of wallpapers.

Additionally, because an antenna is needed, the system will provide Apple's new Emergency SOS service, which is only accessible on the iPhone 14. It will be free for the next two years and enable persons who are lost to contact rescue personnel in locations with slow satellite connectivity.

Furthermore, aside from the aforementioned functionalities, users will be able to modify transmitted iMessage messages and unsend chats. Soon they will also be able to use SharePlay in their FaceTime iMessage discussions. They can view movies in real-time with a pal using it.

Apple Has Finally Launched iPhone 14 Series Together With Apple Watch Ultra

Apple has been working on providing its consumers with products that can accommodate all the demands of the fast-growing tech world. During its iPhone 22 event, the Cupertino giant launched its anticipated products like the iPhone 14 series and its newest Apple Watch Ultra.

The newest iPhone 14 series possesses a notch similar to the iPhone 13 that could be observable on the top of its screen, according to The Verge. The series also utilizes the same A15-series CPU as the said model.

The lineup's iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus have a 6.7 inches screen and improved battery life. Its primary camera has 12 megapixels and a front-facing TrueDepth camera with autofocus. Preorders for the iPhone 14 (starting at $799) and iPhone 14 Plus (starting at $899) will begin on September 9, with deliveries slated for September 16 and October 7.

Additionally, for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, a camera and Face ID under-display located in a pill-shaped cutout could be observed. The cutout, known as the "Dynamic Island," allows prompts to move and show up on the screen. The Pro series is distinguished from the standard iPhone lineup by its more power-efficient A16 processor, higher resolution, improved battery life, quad-pixel, and 48-megapixel rear camera.

If you place a preorder for either the iPhone 14 Pro or the iPhone 14 Pro Max before September 9, you will be able to receive either device on September 16. Both the Pro and Pro Max are sold for the same price of $999.

Furthermore, the Apple Watch Ultra, among the most-awaited items at the event, can be bought at a price of $799. People who are always on the go, such as athletes or people who travel often, are the ones who are most likely to get advantages when they use the smartwatch (via Tom's Guide).

The Apple Watch Ultra has a diameter of 49 millimeters and provides more accurate GPS tracking than its predecessor. Above all, it has a longer battery life than the previous generations, which is its most notable feature.
