D23 Expo 2022: Disney+ Drops Trailer for 'Disenchanted' — Watch It Here!

Disney's D23 Expo 2022 is currently underway and a lot of big and exciting news and reveals have already been made. One of which is the trailer for the upcoming Disney+ movie "Disenchanted."

The sequel to the 2007 film "Enchanted," the Disney+ movie continues the story of animated turned live action character Giselle and her New Yorker prince charming, Robert Philip. The movie will see some cast members from the prequel reprise their roles while also welcoming new additions to the cast.

"Disenchanted" is scheduled to premiere this fall. Here is what you have to know:

Disney's 'Enchanted'

But before we talk about "Disenchanted," let us first refresh our memory by talking about the prequel film "Enchanted."

Released in 2007, the story focuses on an animated princess-to-be, Giselle, who ends in the live action world of New York City. Amy Adams takes on the role of Giselle, while Patrick Dempsey stars as Robert Philip, who Giselle meets in New York.

Idina Menzel, James Marsden, and Timothy Spall are also part of the cast of "Enchanted."

Disney+ Serie 'Disenchanted'

Adams, Dempsey, Menzel, and Marsden are all returning for "Disenchanted." Scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on November 24, The story of the movie takes place 15 years after the prequel.

The movie focuses on Giselle and Robert's family as they move to a new place called Monroeville. When things begin to go wrong, Giselle casts a spell wishing that her life will become the perfect fairy tale. That backfires too and now Giselle has to rush to save her family as well as the Kingdom

Aside from the actors returning from the first movie, Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Oscar Nunez, and Jayma Mays are also part of the cast. According to a report by Gizmodo, "Disenchanted" is directed by Adam Shankman. It will also feature new songs by Disney legend Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.

As previously mentioned, Disney's D23 Expo is currently happening and we can expect many exciting news from it, ranging from movie news to video games and everything in between.

Marvel video game news from the D23 Expo have already been circulating online, including the new release date for Marvel's Midnight Suns. Its October 2022 release date is no longer happening and instead, the game will be out on December 2, according to a report by The Verge.

It has also been reported that a video game set in the worlds of "Captain America" and "Black Panter" is also in the works. Aside from that, Marvel fans can also expect a PC and mobile card game that is similar to Hearthstone that will be released next month.
