The Insider testing of Discord integration to Xbox began in July of this year, and now finally, Discord voice chats can now be accessed by Xbox users.
Beginning today, users will be able to use Discord voice chats in their Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X console as Microsoft officially launch Discord voice chat support.
How to Link Discord to Xbox
Starting today, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X users can now connect directly to Discord voice chats in order to communicate with others.
Through this integration of Discord and Xbox, users can now join the same voice channels.
To use Discord voice chats in Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X, you have to link your Discords and Xbox accounts together.
In case you already linked your accounts together, your Discord contacts would be able to see your Gamertag. However, after this, you'll need to do it again.
Linking them again is required because of the "new voice permissions needed to make the integration work," as per Engadget.
What comes after is a bit complicated. The next thing to do is to ensure that you have installed the Xbox mobile app on your phone. Also, make sure that you have linked your console to the app.
Once done with that, your next step is to "fire up Discord on either your mobile device or desktop," as per Eurogamer.
After that, you can start joining the voice call that you want to transfer to Xbox. Afterward, select the transfer call option; this will open the Xbox mobile app.
What's left to do now is tap the confirm button in the app. Once you're done with all of the steps, you can start using your Xbox headset and chat from your console.
You'll then see all your Discord friends that are currently in the call. You will also be able to adjust volume and use the Xbox dashboard directly to disconnect.

Microsoft Looks Forward to Bring More Discord Experiences to Xbox
According to Engadget, the integration of Discord on Xbox works by "transferring you and your voice chat from the platform to your console."
As per The Verge, there is no way a user can join a call directly from an Xbox. You will have to start your conversations on desktop or mobile. Afterward, you can use Discord and Xbox apps to transfer the call.
While the integration of Discord on Xbox is not the "most intuitive implementation," Engadget said that it could possibly improve in the future.
"We look forward to continuing our partnership to create even deeper, more meaningful experiences for your friends and communities," Discord said.
Meanwhile, Microsoft noted that it was excited "to bring more Discord experiences to Xbox in the future."
The integration of Discord on Xbox was already being tested by Microsoft and Discord since July.
The process of employing Discord voice chat in Xbox is not as easy as joining calls directly from your console. However, over time, we can hope that this complicated process will be improved.
