This coming September 28, Amazon will be holding its annual hardware event. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. PT. According to Engadget, this year's announcement from Amazon was "brief."
The email that the company sent, as per Digital Trends, didn't include any specific details on what people could expect from the affair.
However, the announcement did mention some of the devices, features, and services that will be part of it.
Amazon Might Introduce Updates on Its Echo Hardware
Amazon hardware will be virtual this year and will be by invitation only. According to Engadget, they will provide comprehensive coverage of the event.
During last year's Amazon hardware, the company delivers news about a number of announcements. We were given our first glimpse at Echo Show 15 and Amazon Smart Thermostat last year.
In 2021, Amazon also introduced Astro, a robot that serves as a "mobile smart display."
According to Digital Trends, if we are lucky, we might see a change in the availability of the Astro. While the said product was launched during last year's Amazon hardware event, it was never made available to the public.
It remains to be seen if Amazon is ready to make Astro available to the public. The product remains an exclusive purchase from the company by those who got an invitation to purchase it.
According to TechHive, aside from Astro, one of the much-anticipated devices to be launched at Amazon's affair is the Echo hardware.
The Amazon Echo Dot is already two years old in the market. Meanwhile, three years had already passed since Amazon released the Dolby Atmos-enabled Echo Studio.
Users are already anticipating updates on these Echo hardware.
TechHive speculated that we cannot expect to see much of Amazon's Echo Show displays, however, since the wall-hanging Echo Show 15 was just released last fall.
On the other hand, the Echo Show 5 and 8 just both got an update last spring.

Expect New Ring and Blink Products During Amazon's Event
Based on last year's event (where Amazon showcased its Ring Alarm Pro that comes with an integrated Eero 6 mesh Wi-Fi router), we can expect Ring devices to be introduced in this year's event as well.
We also witnessed Blink update during Amazon hardware 2021, where it got its first video doorbell and a floodlight for its outdoor cam. It is highly likely that Amazon will showcase some Blink updates on September 28.
TechHive is hopeful to hear more about Amazon's Sidewalk, the "ambitious smart device network that enabled multiple Ring, Echo, and other compatible devices to work together."
Smart home users will find Sidewalk very useful as it will enable them to install low-data devices outside their homes without requiring Wi-Fi connection.
Since Amazon already released its brief announcement about the event, we can't probably expect a more detailed announcement about the upcoming September 28 Amazon hardware affair, as per Digital Trends.
As mentioned earlier, it is going to be fully virtual, and those who wish to attend should secure an invitation.
Expect the big announcements together with the full rundown of Amazon hardware next week.
