It seems that Microsoft is not yet done improving Windows 11's Photos app.
Last year, Microsoft redesigned its Photos app. According to The Verge, the tech company did it to "better match the aesthetics of Windows 11." And we thought they're done with it, but we're wrong.
Microsoft is once again redesigning its Photos app. Accordingly, it will come with a new look plus some other improvements.
What's New With the Redesigned Photos App?
In the Windows Blogs posted last September 16, Microsoft announced that it will begin rolling out the redesigned Photos app for Windows 11. The revamped app will be rolled out to all Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.
According to YugaTech, not all insiders will receive the update on the redesigned app. However, as they receive feedback, Microsoft will increase its rollout over time.
An XDA report stated that the redesigned Photos app replaces the existing app on Dev channel versions of Windows through an update to version 2022.31090.16004.0.
The revamped Photos up includes a gallery, streamlining browsing, locating, managing, and consuming your photo collection.
Moreover, it introduces a "Memories" experience, plus good experiences on Windows devices. It also features a simple photo backup with OneDrive.
The new gallery view is one of the interesting features of the redesigned app. It offers a unique way to browse through your photos.
Microsoft said in Windows Blogs that the updated view is intended to "simplify browsing, finding, managing, and consuming the photos" that you are keeping in your collection.
Furthermore, the company said that they redesigned the Photos app in order to make it "faster, easier, and more enjoyable" for users to re-live and edit their photos on Windows 11.
Photos app was redesigned "to align with the new visual design of Windows 11," and it comes with updated typography styling plus new theme specific color palettes.

Redesigned Photos App Will Roll Out to Windows Insiders on Wednesday
According to YugaTech, you will be able to organize your photos with a productive and beautifully redesigned purpose-built experience using the redesigned Photos app.
The revamped app will also allow you to easily backup your Photos to OneDrive in order to secure your memories. Moreover, the improved "Memories" experiences will allow you to celebrate well-lived life.
Another benefit of the redesigned Photos app is it will make you productive with its multi-window and multi-screen features.
You can also easily access your OneDrive storage quota usage and add more storage. Additionally, importing and managing your photos from external sources is made easy.
Despite the improved features, the revamped Photos app comes with one downside according to The Verge. The app won't allow you to use legacy app's video editor.
Clipchamp, the video editing app Microsoft began bundling into Windows 11 in March, is the recommended video editor.
Windows Insiders will be able to access the redesigned photos app in the Dev Channel starting on Wednesday.
According to Microsoft head of devices and Windows Panos Panay, everyone will be able to access it by October.
