1. World of Warships Basic Facts

Released on November 15, 2017, World of Warships is developed and published by Wargaming Group Limited. As already mentioned, the game is free-to-play. You can easily download the game via its Steam page.

As it is a naval combat game, you can obviously expect a lot of battles between ships of different kinds. According to the official website of World of Warships, the following battle types are available for you to choose from:

  • Brawl
  • Clan Battles
  • Co-Op Battles
  • Random Battles
  • Ranked Battles
  • Scenarios
  • Training Battles

Needless to say, you will not run out of action while playing World of Warships!

2. Four Major Ship Types

When you play World of Warships, you will encounter four major ship types: Battleship, Carrier, Cruiser, and Destroyer.

Those who want to have ships that are considered the fastest and the most agile, you cannot go wrong with Destroyers. Cruisers, on the other hand, are perfect for those who want ships that are multipurpose.

Players who want to inflict as well as be able to withstand a lot of damage can go for ships under the Battleship category. Last and definitely not the least, those who want ships with aircraft squadrons should go for the Carriers.

3. The Port

Every player of World of Warships will encounter the Port, which the official website describes as the "central hub of non-combat activities, whether you need to repair, customize, and upgrade your warship, or buy a new one."

4. The Game Modes

World of Warships has a total of three different game modes. Yes, these are different from the battle types discussed earlier. The three game modes are:

  • Arms Race
  • Domination
  • Standard Battle

5. Clans

World of Warships does have an in-game economy and one of the ways you can earn income is by being part of a Clan.

Being part of a Clan also lets you build a Naval Base with your fellow clan mates. As you may have already guessed from the battle types discussed earlier, clans can also go against one another in battle.
