Overheated Apple Watch Series 7 Burns User
According to the user's conversation with 9to5 Mac, they explained that they noticed the Apple Watch getting hotter than usual while they were wearing it, going to a temperature of over 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
The publisher said that the user told them that the watch had cracked at the back, and started showing warnings about needing to shut down.
Apple Insider writes that the owner immediately called Apple Support to explain the situation, and was pointed to multiple levels of Apple's support until it reached the manager.
The management had promised to do an investigation about the unlikely incident, but no solution was provided after the call.
However, 9to5 Mac says that the user had been instructed to not touch the watch until the company reaches out to them again.
Despite the warning, the owner of the Apple Watch Series 7 tried to remove the watch as it became hotter and the heat shattered the device's display.
Because of this, the owner decided to take a picture of the overheating watch to send to Apple Support for a report, when it apparently made crackling sounds before it exploded on the couch.

The Explosion Raises The Threat Of Lead Poisoning
Immediately after the explosion, the user sought medical attention with the worries of possibly being poisoned by lead, a substance often used in manufacturing devices.
However, WCCF Tech confirms that Apple does not use enough quantity of lead in their devices that the lead content found in the Apple Watch Series 7 could not have caused poisoning.
9to5 Mac also writes that the user reached out once again to the Apple Support and he was told that their case will be treated as top priority, but they still has not heard from Apple.
Apple Insider reports that the owner was sent a document to sign, which was of Apple asking them to not share their story but he declined.
According to 9to5 Mac, the company has also arranged a pick up for the Apple Watch Series 7 that exploded so that they can take it to their labs for a series of tests.
iThink Different states that the story, however, did not mention the exact details that can make the story cleare, like how long the watch was used for, or whether it was charged using a third-party device.
The owner of the Apple Watch that overheated also did not say whether Apple had offered to refund or provide a replacement for the piece.
In 2021, two men experienced the same thing with their Apple products where a man in Austalias also landed himself in the hospital after an iPhone X exploded in his pocket, Apple Insider reports.
The other man even pushed for a class action lawsuit against Apple because of defective batteries and warranty violations after his iPhone exploded on his face two years prior, Apple Insider added.
