Kojima Productions is set to collaborate with Hollywood star Elle Fanning, as revealed in a teaser campaign on Twitter.
Hideo Kojima, the studio's namesake and founder, announced the partnership in a tweet after the reveal at PAX Australia a few days ago, Engadget writes.
What Do We Know So Far
The teaser campaign for Kojima Productions' new project started in September at the Tokyo Game Show, and fans are speculating that the tweets point to a Death Stranding sequel.
However, at the time of the initial launch, Kojima only shared a poster of a woman whose face was obscured by the phrase "Who Am I?", raising even more questions from fans.
On Friday, Engadget reported that the answer to the simple yet controversial question that Kojima posted showed that Fanning would be working on a project with the company.
Although Kojima Productions has chosen not to elaborate further, the producer's tweet, which has since been deleted, was hashtagged under Death Stranding.
Polygon also says that the actor Norman Redus, who appeared in the game, has told interviewers that "the second one" is in the works.
Despite this, it is worth noting that Kojima has worked on more than one project at the same time at least once, keeping details still out in the open.
In connection, Kojima took to social media to share pictures of Fanning on the stage used to scan features of a person to incorporate them into the game, Comic Book reports.
Death Stranding will be Elle Fanning's first venture into video game collaborations after years of working in the entertainment industry as a film and television actress and producer.

Kojima Is Set To Lay More Details Out
After a QR code spotted at the PAX Australia gaming event in Melbourne showed the portrait of Fanning, a similar image appeared online.
According to Polygon, a similar image of a woman whose face was obscured with the text "Where Am I?" made its rounds online as well.
The "Where Am I?" poster showed a different silhouette, which is believed to be of Margaret Qualley from the horror game Overdose.
Video Game Chronicles believes that the rumors are rooted in the leaked footage from the game, showing Qualley in the debut.
After Death Stranding, Kojima Productions is reportedly involved in an upcoming partnership with Xbox Game Studios as well, according to Dual Shockers.
However, Kojima Productions confirmed that they are still working with Sony on PlayStations 4 and 5 despite their new partnership ventures.
CBR reports that Kojima Productions suggests their games are being developed in a way that allows them to migrate to different platforms following the closure of Stadia.
Comic Book highly speculates that Kojima will continue teasing the new game in the works until December during The Game Awards, but only time will tell.
The production company is expected to lay out the final details of the full new game on December 9.
