Apple's alleged release of iPhone SE 4 raises rumors about product designs and features for the 2023 model.
Mac Rumors reveals that the fourth generation of iPhone SE will get a bigger 6.1-inch LCD display, and a notch for its front-facing camera.
iPhone SE Will Get A New Look For The 4th Gen Version
While the iPhone SE 2022's launch was a bit disappointing to some customers, Gizbot claims that Apple might be fixing some issues along with the iPhone SE 2023 launch.
Ross Young, Apple's Display Supply Chain Consultant analyst, says that the company is planning to release the new iPhone SE model in 2024.
The model will reportedly add Dynamic Island to iPhone SE, a feature previously explored in recent versions of the iPhone.
Young also told Mac Rumors that it is still unknown whether iPhone SE 4 will have the TrueDepth camera array like the other models, as well as the FaceID.
However, it is speculated that iPhone SE 4 is adapting an all-screen design, opting to put the Touch ID button on the side, much like iPad Air and iPad Mini.
The side-mounted fingerprint print recognition feature is dedicated to capture users' biometric information to unlock the device.
iPhone SE 4 Might Be Less Compact And More Costly
A new leak revealed that iPhone SE will get a much needed bump for modernization purposes as the company sets sight on giving the fourth gen top notch features.
Next Pit writes that the upgrade paves the way for more drastic designs and larger displays that are rumored to bump the cost of iPhone SE.
Sources say that despite this, Apple's priority is to avoid upping the cost so much that it will affect the sales of both the iPhone 4 SE and the iPhone 14.
Notebook Check reports that the iPhone SE 4's release will be the first to feature a compact phone, putting back the iPhone 14 mini on the shelves.
It is expected that the iPhone SE 4 will hit the market early next year, and will be in the likeness of the iPhone XR design.
Jon Prosser, a known leakster of Apple information, said that the iPone SE 4 can be best described as a "repurposed" iPhone XR with a newer chip.
Notebook Check also details that Apple is apparently giving the next generation of iPhone SE with an upgraded SoC, IP67 water resistance, and improved battery life.
According to Next Pit, the leakers expect the iPhone SE 4 to start at a price of $560, since today's version is currently at $490 in some markets.
However, Gizbot says that despite the rollout of new generations of iPhone, Apple might still continue to sell the iPhone SE 2022 for those who can not afford iPhone SE 4.
In connection to this leak, Apple also suffered the premature dissemination of information about the iPhone 15 only a few days before.
