Walmart to offer iPhone 5C for $79, iPhone 5S for $189

iFans can rejoice as the latest Apple smartphones, the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, are set to hit the shelves on Sept. 20.

The pre-orders for the lower-cost iPhone 5C are set to begin from Friday, Sept. 13 and if you're looking to snag a good deal then Walmart could well be your go-to retailer.

Walmart has special offers for the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C and consumers can avail of the deal beginning Sept. 13. iFans can pre-order the 16GB model of the iPhone 5C from Walmart at a discounted price of $79 on a two-year contract with either Verizon, Sprint and AT&T, a savings of $20 compared to the smartphone's regular price. However, the smartphone needs to be picked up before Sept. 25.

Normally, the iPhone 5C would set you back by $99.99 if you purchase it directly from any of the above-mentioned carriers. On the other hand, if the fingerprint sensor touting iPhone 5S is more up your alley, then you can purchase it for $189 (instead of the regular carrier price of $199.99) from Walmart on a two-year contract with Verizon, Sprint or AT&T.

"Consumers looking to pick up either of the two new iPhones can save a bit of cash via Walmart. The company announced Thursday that it will sell the 16GB iPhone 5C for $79, or $20 off the full retail price, and the 16GB iPhone 5S for $189, a savings of $10 off the full price. Those prices require the standard two-year contract with the carrier of your choice," reports CNET.

Walmart is also offering a discount on the older iPhone 5 and has reduced its price to $79 from $98. Moreover, the 8GB and 16GB variants of the iPhone 4S can be yours for just 97 cents! Additionally, per CNET, from Sept. 16, the iPhone 4 can be yours for just a dime and will come with a $100 gift card.

The iPhone 5C goes up for pre-order on Friday, Sept. 13 and will hit the shelves on Sept. 20 alongside the iPhone 5S (which will not be available for pre-order). To pre-order the iPhone 5C from Walmart for $79 head here.
