Some users of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max are currently experiencing a "SIM Not Supported" bug. Apple already acknowledged the issue, according to MacRumors.
Apple Claims 'SIM Not Supported' Bug is Not a Hardware Problem
According to Apple, the "SIM Not Supported" issue that's currently impacting users of iPhone 14 models is not a hardware problem.
The Cupertino-based company said that it is most likely another iOS 16 bug. The ongoing bug affecting the users is related to cellular data and SIM card support.
According to the memo seen by MacRumors, the iPhone 14 models may entirely freeze after the "SIM Not Supported" message appear on the devices.
While no workaround is available as of writing, Apple advised its customers to keep their software up to date.
As the tech giant already acknowledged the issue, there is already an ongoing investigation being conducted regarding the problem.
While the company is not yet issuing a fix to address the issue, it advised iPhone 14 users to "wait a few minutes to see if the message disappears."
Apple did not advise users to restore the device in case the message continues to appear on their iPhones.
The best course of action, according to the company, is to proceed to an Apple Store or an authorized service provider. Customers should then request technical assistance in order to resolve the issue.
Previously, iPhone 14 users had already encountered bugs in their latest devices. Following the launch of the iPhone 14 models during the Far Out event of Apple, users already experienced several issues.
Apple was able to address the issues through the iOS 16 updates. Currently, the company is testing iOS 16.1 with developers and public beta testers, according to Canada Today.
Currently, iOS 16.1 is still in the beta phase. It is highly possible that Apple is still adding more improvements and features with the update to provide a better experience to iOS users. The update is expected to be launched at the end of October.
