Alef Aeronautics is trying to create alternative transportation solutions for surging traffic trends. With this, the company introduced the Alef Model A.
According to the company, Alef Model A is the only flying car with street driving and vertical take-off. Moreover, this flying car fits within existing urban infrastructure for driving and parking.
California startup company, Alef, said that they are planning to start production of Model A. The company also said that they plan to initiate first deliveries in Q4 of 2025, according to CNET.
Alef Model A Flying Car is Priced at $300,000
On Wednesday, Alef Aeronautics showcased a prototype of its first flying car, the Alef Model A. Its a $300,000 machine that the company hopes to deliver by 2025.
With this, those who are interested with the Alef Model A can start making orders at the company's website.
According to Alef, the Model A is will have a driving range of 200 miles. Meanwhile, it will have a flying range of 110 miles.
At a press conference at Draper University in San Mateo, California, a single passenger prototype of the Alef Model A and two flying prototypes called Alef Zero were showed by Alef Aeronautics.
According to Chief Executive Jim Dukhovny, the Model A will be having eight propellers that should let it fly in the coming months.
The Alef Model A is different from previous concepts of flying car. According to Reuters, once Model A lifts off the ground, "the cockpit swivels and the carbon-fiber body turns over on its side." Afterwards, an array of propellers drive it forward.
Dukhovny said that the Alef flying car is expected to revolutionize transportation. During the event, there was a video of an animation of dozens of flying cars in aerial lanes above San Francisco.
"Almost every vision of the future came up with exactly the same thing: a flying car. We can actually solve all traffic in the world for the next hundred years," Dukhovny said.

Alef is Working on Additional Car Models
Alef is developing additional car models. The company is working towards the four-person sedan, Alef Model Z.
According to the company, it is scheduled for introduction in 2030 and it will be priced at $35K, as per Reuters. Model Z will be capable of flying 300+ miles. It will have a driving range of 220+ miles.
Since 2019, Alef has been test-driving and test-flying the Alef full-size prototype.
Alef is a company based in Santa Clara, California. It is sustainable electric transportation company focused on designing and developing a road-legal passenger car.
The car that it designed are known to be capable of achieving vertical takeoff and forward flight.
Alef aims is to give the people a faster, and easier commutes. Likewise, it aims to alleviate the burden of urban congestion.
"The Alef Model is a modern solution for both urban and rural transportation needs in the 21st century because it is the fastest and most convenient transport ever created from the point of origin to the final destination," said Dukhovny.
