The 41-megapixel-packing AT&T Nokia Lumia 1020 can now be purchased for $149.99 with a new 2-year contract through Amazon.
The Lumia 1020 is Nokia's current flagship smartphone. The handset's major feature can be found in its 41-megapixel PureView camera, which is the highest-end camera available on any smartphone. The Lumia 1020 runs the latest version of Windows Phone 8 and comes with Nokia's Lumia Amber update pre-installed. The new software adds some cool features, such as an always-on clock that displays the current time even while the screen is off. You'll be able to wake your Lumia from sleep by simply double-tapping its screen, without needing to hit the power button anymore. The update also includes expanded Data Sense support, which allows you to monitor how much data your Lumia is using and adds the ability to listen to FM radio.
The AT&T Nokia Lumia 1020 features a 4.5-inch ClearBlack AMOLED PureMotion HD+ display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 and a pixel density of 334 pixels per inch (ppi). It also uses a special sunlight readability enhancement, scratch-resistant glass and includes support for wide viewing angles. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Adreno 225 graphics processing unit (GPU), has 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.
The Lumia 1020's 41-megapixel PureView rear camera comes with Carl Zeiss optics, boasts optical image stabilization (OIS), Xenon flash and full HD 1080p video recording. The smartphone also includes a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera for video chat. In terms of wireless connectivity, it features a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC.
Nokia ships the Lumia 1020 with a long-lasting, non-removable 2,000mAh battery, which offers up to 19 hours of talk time and 16 days (384 hours) of standby time. Its dimensions are 5.13 x 2.81 x 0.41 inches (130.4 x 71.4 x 10.4 mm) and weighs 5.57 oz (158 g).
AT&T is currently charging $199.99 for the Lumia 1020 online and in its retail stores, but the new deal from Amazon brings the price down to $149.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. The retailer is also throwing in free two-day shipping.
