Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another #TheSteamSix feature where we count down six of all things related to the game available on Steam!
For today, we are not going to feature one particular game. Instead, we will give you six different games that share the same theme or genre. In this case, we are doing a rundown of six escape room games you can find on Steam.
Escape room games may seem pretty simple, but they can actually be really challenging. They require a lot of strategy, patience, and even team work if you are playing with other people.
Without further ado, here are the six escape room games worth checking out on Steam!
At Dead of Night
The whole idea and premise of escape room games make them ideal for horror stories. One example of a horror escape room game you can find on Steam is none other than At Dead of Night.
Developed and published by Baggy Cat, At Dead of Night follows the story of a student named Maya, who finds herself held captive in a remote hotel by a psycopath named Jimmy Hall. What makes things even more difficult is that Maya's friends are also trapped in other rooms and she must work to free them all.
Cube Escape: Paradox
Developed and published by Rusty Lake, Cube Escape: Paradox was released on September 20, 2018. It explores a story where the character you play is trapped in two different universes. Specifically, you take on the role of detective Dale Vandermeer and your goal is to escape the two different universes you find yourself stuck in.
Cube Escape: Paradox offers a unique game and film crossover experience as it was released with an accompanying film.
Escape Simulator
If you want a game that has multiple escape room scenarios in it that you can play either solo or with friends, then Escape Simulator is right up your alley.
Developed and published by Pine Studio, you have to deal with "a set of highly interactive escape rooms," according to the game's Steam page. Steam notes that there are 23 rooms in total that are divided into packs, namely Labyrinth of Egypt, Adrift in Space, Edgewood Mansion, Omega Corporation, and Extras.
I Expect You to Die

Little Nightmares

Samsara Room
Another entry on this list that is developed and published by Rusty Lake, Samsara Room is both an escape room game and a point-and-click game released on April 29, 2020.
Where you start with in the game is actually pretty simple. According to the game's Steam page, you find yourself in a strange room that has a grandfather clock, a mirror, a telephone, and other weird things. Given what is there, you are going to have to try and escape from that odd room.
