Welcome to yet another #TheSteamSix feature and today, we set the spotlight on a game from Sega. Specifically, the game is part of the spin-off series of Like a Dragon (you might know it as Yakuza).
Can you guess what it is? If your guess is Lost Judgment, you hit the jackpot!
Here are the six things you have to know about action-adventure 3D fighter game Lost Judgment:
1. Lost Judgment Basic Facts
Released for PC on September 14, 2022, Lost Judgment is developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. Prior to its PC release date, the game was already released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.
It is the sequel to the 2018 game Judgment. As previously mentioned Judgment and its sequel are spin-offs of the Like a Dragon series.
The game does have a DLC and it is called The Kaito Files. The DLC introduces new characters, including the playable character Kaito, as well as battle and investigation styles.
2. The Premise of Lost Judgment
The story of Lost Judgment revolves around a high school in Yokohoma that becomes the center of attention after "a convicted police officer discloses the murder of the student teacher who bullied his son to suicide," according to the game's Steam page.
You take on the role of Takayuki Yagami, who ends up going undercover in the school to solve the bullying cases plaguing it.
3. The Student Groups
As part of his unercover effort, Takayuki Yagami takes on the role of the Mystery Club's outside advisor so that he has easier access to the school's student groups.
According to the official website of Lost Judgment, the student groups you will encounter in the game include the dance club, the robotics club, and the photography club, among others.
4. Martial Arts Styles
Given the fact that Lost Judgment is an action-adventure 3D fighter game, do expect a lot of combat as you go along. Per the official website, there are three martial arts styles that Yagami can use during combat:
- Crane style - if you want to hit multiple enemies all at once, this is the style you should go for
- Snake style - this style makes its debut in the game and focuses on "redirecting an opponent's energy right back at them"
- Tiger style - those who want to inflict high damage on just one opponent should opt for this style
5. There are Side Cases Available
As you go through the story of Lost Judgment, you get to explore the cities of Kamurocho and Ijincho, specifically its bars and other nightlife spots. You can take this opportunity to accept side cases.
