Taylor Swift's 10th studio album, "Midnights," has broken a Spotify record. The artist's newly released album now holds the record of being the most streamed album in a single day in the music streaming service, as per CNET.
Taylor Swift Breaks Bad Bunny's 183 Million Record
In a tweet, Spotify shared the news to the world, saying "And before the clock could even strike midnight on October 22nd, Taylor Swift broke the record for most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify history."
In the same tweet from the music streaming platform, Spotify congratulated Swift for her new milestone.
The artist retweeted the post from the platform expressing her own reaction at the news of "Midnights" latest achievement.
"How did I get this lucky, having you guys out here doing something this mind blowing?! Like what even just happened??!?!" the "Anti-hero" artist said.
Some of the songs included on "Midnights" are singles "Anti-Hero," "Karma" and "Maroon." There's also "Snow on the Beach" which features Lana Del Rey.
Just a few hours after "Midnights" was released, Swift followed up the 13-tracks standard album with a 3am edition. It comes with seven additional songs, making a total of 20 songs.
As of writing, Spotify is not yet releasing the official streaming numbers for the artist's album. But according to Rolling Stone, "Midnights" surpassed Bad Bunny's previously held record of 183 million streams in a single day.
Bad Bunny broke Spotify's record in May after he released "Un Verano Sin Ti."
Meanwhile, the new single "Anti-Hero" is leading in the New Music Daily category of Apple Music. However, Spotify's rival streaming service is not yet releasing a statement regarding any records broken by the album.

'Midnights' Album Briefly Crashes Spotify
Following the release of "Midnights" in Spotify, there are reports from some Twitter users that the music streaming platform briefly crashed on Thursday night.
According to reports, fans of the artist flocked to the app to listen to the album causing the platform to crash for some time.
By 1:00 AM EDT, there are 7,844 outages reported in global monitoring service Downdetector as users decided to report their inability to access the app, as per iTechPost.
This could mean that there is a great number of people who attempted to visit Spotify at the time of the album's release. This potentially overwhelmed the platform's servers causing it to crash.
The good news is the music streaming platform was able to address the problem. Fans were able to enjoy the new tracks from "Midnights" eventually.
Following the release of her album, Swift also unveiled her music video for "Anti-Hero."
Through her TikTok series "Midnights Mayhem With Me," she revealed a song title from the title prior to the album's release.
To preview the other music videos of the album, the artist also made an appearance on Amazon Prime Video's "Thursday Night Football"
The music videos include cameos from the Haim sisters, album producer Jack Antonoff, Laura Dern, Pat McGrath, Mike Birbiglia, John Early, and Dita Von Teese.
