Fans Can Expect A Long-term Multi-Title Collaboration Between EA And Marvel
EA will be working with Marvel to develop three brand new action adventure games based on Marvel comics, which will come with their original story set.
These games, which will still take place in the Marvel universe, will be third-person games created with Motive Studios.
"We look forward to welcoming Marvel into the EA family of creators and know this collaboration will produce exceptional experiences for our players," EA COO Laura Miele mentions.
Nintendo Life writes that the gamer development company's fans have long been anticipating the arrival of Iron Man on EA as its flagship project with Marvel.
This Iron Man project is headed by Olivier prolux, who was the same person who worked as senior producer for Marvels' Guardians of the Galaxy on Nintendo Switch.
While the first project between EA and Marvel is confirmed to revolve around Iron Man, it is still unclear whether the next two will be spin-offs, or about different Marvel characters.
IGN reports that EA is yet to say whether when the release will happen, or if the other games would be single versus multiplayer focused.
"At Marvel, we strive to find best-in-class teams who can take our characters on heroic journeys in ways they haven't before and collaborating with EA will help us achieve that," says Jay Ong, Executive VP at Marvel Games.
EA Newsroom details that Marvel is enthusiastic about this creative collaboration with the developers because they can make something unique and remarkable with EA's Motive.

Gamespot writes that EA is also rumored to be working on an open-world Black Panther game, being developed and led by Beyond EA, a new studio founded by the former head of Monolith Productions.
Beyond EA aims to produce a narrative-driven action adventure game that stars Black Panther and Captain America, and to release Marvel's Midnight Suns from Firaxis.
It is important to remember that EA was also behind the development of the upcoming Dead Space remake, and the likes of Star Wars: Squadron and Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
