A listing on the TENAA certification website reveals almost complete details about Motorola's next flagship project.
The Motorola Edge X40 appeared on the Chinese website a few days ago, along with a sheet of specs customers can expect from the unreleased handset.
TENAA's Listing Almost Went Into Full Detail About The Motorola Edge X40
TENAA, the Chinese equivalent to the Federal Communications Commission, said that the Motorola Edge X4 will run on the unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
According to Android Authority, this makes Motorola the first company to reveal and release a phone regionally with the next-generation system on a chip.
This leak comes only a couple of months after the Lenovo-owned company released the premium version Motorola Edge X30 Ultra in markets.
Phone Arena even writes that the listing showed how the Motorola Edge X40 can easily become the company's most high-end technology, which will be available in the US and non-Asian countries.
According to the document, the device will have a 6.67-inch slightly curved OLED screen with a 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution.
The Motorola Edge X40 will also have a triple sensor set up, with an ultrawide 50 MP camera, and telephoto of 12 MP.
Additionally, Android Authority reports that the phones will be available with a 512GB storage and an 18GB RAM, along with a battery capacity of 4,500 to 5,000mAh.
At the moment, there is still no specific launch date for the Motorola Edge X40, but with last year's December launch, customers are expecting a roll out next month.
What Else Is There To Expect From The Motorola Edge X40
The Moto Edge X40 can easily follow the success of last year's Edge X30, which inspired this year's Motorola Edge Plus, according to Phone Arena.
The new flagship from Motorola allegedly is the technology that can compete against Samsung's upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Its high resolution curved screen offers a 144Hz refresh rate that will be perfect for those looking for a smooth mobile gaming device.
Moreover, the Motorola Edge X40 will come at a compact size of 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.5mm and a weight of 196 grams.
Of course, Motorola is looking to balance phone power with affordability without sacrificing the camera quality of the device.
The Motorola Edge X40 will come with a revised rear-facing camera module, with a tertiary shooter.
It will also come with three cameras, where the primary and secondary cameras will be 200MP better than that of the Edge X30 Ultra.
Notebook Check says that these cameras will also feature a four times optical zoom capacity, from a previous two times zoom capacity feature.
Aside from this, the Motorola Edge X40 will also see special functions such as gravity sensors, distance sensors, and a light sensor.
It will also have a fingerprint recognition technology, and an under-screen fingerprint recognition feature for its users.
While these details have not yet been confirmed officially by Motorola, they definitely gives customers from China, US, and other countries something to look out for.
