Motorola's Edge 30 Ultra, which sports the highest megapixel in a smartphone of up to 200 MP, launches globally shortly after Apple's debut of the all-new iPhone 14 series.
It is worth mentioning that the latest flagship of Motorola, the Edge 30 Ultra, is closely based on a smartphone that the tech giant debuted in China in August, the Moto X30 Pro.
And this time, the nearly exact mobile device is launching in other global markets. But will it release in the United States?
Motorola Edge 30 Ultra Debuts with 200 MP Camera
While most folks are still talking about the all-new iPhone 14 and the so-called "Dynamic Island," whether in disappointment or awe, Motorola launched its flagship device out of the blue.
According to a report by Android Central, the latest flagship smartphone in town, the Edge 30 Ultra, is the first-ever mobile device to feature an impressive 200 MP rear primary camera sensor.
While other phone makers, including the foldable phone king, Samsung, and the Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi, are also rumored to release their 200 MP device, it looks like Motorola got ahead of them.
The new Motorola phone is the first device to carry the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor, which could take clear photos of up to a whopping 200 MP resolution.
Besides the impressive rear camera, the Edge 30 Ultra also rocks a high-resolution selfie snapper, sporting up to 60 MP, allowing its users to take HD self-portraits, which still look fine when cropped.
The rear 200MP shooter is not alone on the rear of the device. A 12 MP telephoto sensor with only 2x zoom joins the ISOCELL HP1 at the back, alongside a 50 MP ultra-wide lens.
Edge 30 Ultra: What to Expect
Although one of the selling points of the new Edge 30 Ultra is its high-resolution camera, it never actually ends there.
Its massive 6.67 pOLED display is best for gaming as it supports a buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate, according to a recent report by GSM Arena. Sure, it also looks seamless while doom scrolling on TikTok or Twitter.
The latest flagship phone runs on the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which dominates most high-end Android smartphones these days. Not to mention that it provides ample 12GB of RAM, along with 512 GB of internal storage.
The 200 MP phone rocks an impressive battery life thanks to its 4,610mAh battery. But topping it up is immensely quick thanks to its 125W TurboPower fast charging.
It is now available in Brazil, Argentina, and Europe. Other markets, such as Asia and the Middle East, will soon have it for sale. But no word yet for the North American region.
