Users will be able to play as new characters of "Stranger Things" season 4 as Netflix brings the Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales games based on the fourth season of the series, as per Tech Times.
As part of Netflix's "Stranger Things" Day celebration, the streamer has announced the return of the role-playing mobile game now exclusively available on Netflix Games.
To the delights of many fans, the show's official Twitter account also released a trailer for the mobile game. As long as you have a Netflix account, you can now enjoy playing the game in your mobile device.
Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales Introduces New Gameplay
Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales comes with new gameplay. Users will be able to enjoy it ultimately because it's a no-ads game.
Netflix brings back the game in its efforts to allows the fans to engage with the show in different ways.
Aside from relaunching the game, the streamer also partnered with Reddit earlier this year in order to come up with a "Stranger Things"-based customized avatars, according to TechCrunch.
Additionally, Netflix also collaborated with Spotify to come up with a personalized playlists for the fans of the series.
The game has an interesting gameplay. It involves solving puzzles in order to beat the enemies like Demogorgons and other supernatural monsters.
Throughout the game, you will be able to collect up to 50 versions of characters from the "Stranger Things." The game's graphics are "nostalgic 1980s Saturday morning cartoon art style," according to the company.
Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales was first made available to players in 2021. But following Netflix's acquisition of the game for $72 million, it was removed from the App Store and Play Store in August.
Upon its acquisition, the streamer said that it is revamping the game. It was eventually moved to Netflix Games exclusively.
Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales Brings Exciting Adventures to Players
Starting today, users can start downloading the updated game. Netflix announced in a notice on the game's official website that they have a number of exciting adventures for the players.
The site further added that those adventures will be bigger than ever later this year because Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales is moving to Netflix in late 2022, as per Collider.
With this, the game site also said that to prepare players for this move, there will be some changes to the current live games.
Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales is the third "Stranger Things"-based mobile game made available to Netflix Games platform.
On October 2017, Stranger Things: The Game was released. In July 2019, Stranger Things 3: The Gamefollowed.
Despite Netflix's efforts to turn the its games successful, the result is quite the opposite. A report from Apptopia in August said that the average daily users of Netflix games were only averaging to 1.7 million.
Meanwhile, the company announced during its Q3 2022 earnings that it now has 223 million subscribers.
"Stranger Things" final season is set to start filming in 2023. But with Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales, fans can have a fix of their favorite sci-fi horror show for the time being.
