5 World of Warcraft Dragonflight Tips and Tricks You May Want To Know

World of Warcraft's (WoW) Dragonflight expansion pack is now out for players to enjoy. It features a new playable race, class, and talent tree that provides a blend of "new quality and classic philosophy," per VG247.

It also has an improved profession system and new dungeons, UI, and factions.

However, not everyone has been keeping up with WoW's content, with Blizzard expecting returnees to try the new race and class out for themselves. People are also expected to encounter some difficulties with the new expansion pack.

Here are some tips players will want to consider while playing through Dragonflight's content.

You Can Change Talents On A Whim

One of Dragonflight's main pulls to players is its revamped talent tree that provides players the flexibility they have been asking for months.

According to The Gamer, players can now change their character's talents on a whim, free of charge and without the need to meet any prerequisites to do so.

Thanks to this new-found freedom, players can now experiment with their character's talents at will without any repercussions, allowing them to create new builds for them to enjoy.

Additionally, Blizzard also gave players the option to use a Starter Build if they want their talents to run on autopilot while they level.

Get Items To Fuel The Need For Speed

Dragonflight has many quests, side quests, and activities for players to do, and although having a dragon mount does help with traveling, things could be on the slow side if players don't know how to increase their speed properly, regardless of the circumstances.

PC Gamer suggests that getting Fried Bonefish, Straddling Jewel Doublet, Pure-Air Sail Extensions, and Gunshoes increases the player character's speed rating significantly during combat and while traveling.

Meanwhile, getting the Light-Step Hoofplates for mounts will also increase their speed by 20%. However, this effect doesn't stack with other mounted speed effects.

Quests Without A Brown Border Are Optional

Although players have many quests, side quests, and activities to participate in, the only ones that matter to the game are the main line quests with the special yellow exclamation point with a brown border, per Dexerto.

These quests progress the expansion pack's story, while those without the brown border are optional, and can be accepted at a later time. This fact is important for speedrunners who wish to level their character quickly.

Decide If You Want To Speed Run Early On

The beauty of speedrunning is enjoying a game's content efficiently, but it could also mean that players engaged in the act are likely to miss the story behind the game.

The same is true for speed runners in Dragonflight. With a game as lore-intensive as WoW, players should consider if they should speed-run the game or not early on to set the tone for the game. Interestingly, speed running also allows players to level their character faster than those that don't as they don't have to share the game's mobs and quest items with other players.

Take Your Time And Enjoy

Players can also do the opposite of speed running and do every side quest available to avoid the crowd, much like killing time in a place to let traffic congestion die down. Doing so will still let players level their character quickly while not missing any of the game's content, such as cutscenes, dialogue, quest text, side quests, and other time-consuming activities.

Logging out of peak hours and returning in slow ones also helps as players can expect their player character to have rested experience bubbles for them to consume. According to Icy Veins, these bubbles increase the XP players can gain from killing mobs until all of them are gone.
