1. 'Wednesday' was Shot in Romania

What place could be more ideal to shoot a fantasy show than Romania, the country of Dracula? According to Ortega, the actress who plays the role of Wednesday in the series, the cast and crew of the show spent eight months filming in Romania. That is necessary to produce the first season of "Wednesday."

The filming took place in the eastern country known as the region of Transylvania, according to TV Festival. During a Q&A session at the New York Comic Con, Ortega said that they worked really hard to give Wednesday Addams justice.

Most of the scenes taking place at the Nevermore Academy were filmed at the Cantacuzino Castle, which is located in the Romanian Carpathians. The town of Jericho was entirely created in Romania by the show's set designers to recreate typical New England architecture.

In order to shoot the scenes with Thing, Dorobantu spent three hours a day preparing. As part of the work, he has to put on a blue suit so that his body could be erased by the VFX team in post-production.

5. Ortega Auditioned Over Zoom Covered in Fake Blood

When Ortega auditioned for the role of Wednesday, she was filming the horror movie "X" in Wellington, New Zealand. She hopped on a Zoom call with the executive producer of "Wednesday" right after shooting her death scene for the film.

As per The Business Insider, Ortega described that she still had stage blood and glycerin sweat in her hair plus a massive cut on her face when she took the Zoom call. Likewise, she said that she had been up for over 24 hours.
