Nokia Lumia 929 reportedly coming to Verizon in November

A new report claims that Verizon will launch the Nokia Lumia 929 as early as Nov. 6. The smartphone will reportedly have a 5-inch display and 20-megapixel PureView camera.

Nokia will be holding its Nokia World conference at the end of October. The company is expected to announce a couple new Lumia devices that will carry the same theme - larger full HD displays and high-end specs. Nokia will reportedly launch its first phablet, the Lumia 1520, which is believed to be its largest and most powerful handset. It will reportedly include a 6-inch 1080p full HD display and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

The company will also launch its first Windows RT tablet, the Lumia 2520. Just like the Lumia 1520, the 2520 will feature a large 1080p full HD display. Nokia's tablet is expected to sport a 10.1-inch display and be available on both AT&T and Verizon.

A new report claims that Nokia plans on announcing the Lumia 929 at Nokia World. The smartphone is likely to be a Verizon-exclusive and the report suggests that it will have a 5-inch display as opposed to the Lumia 1520, which is believed to be headed to AT&T. The Lumia 929 is expected to maintain the same 20.7-megapixel PureView camera that the Lumia 1520 will reportedly boast. The smartphone will be available it two color choices, black and white. It will also be running an updated version of Windows Phone GDR3 (general distribution release), which adds support for large HD displays and quad-core processors among many of its new features.

The report lists an inventory date of Nov. 6 for the Verizon Nokia Lumia 929. It's not clear if Nov. 6 is the launch date or when Verizon retail stores will begin to receive shipments of the smartphone.

We'll have to file this in the rumor category for now. We should know more details on Oct. 26, when Nokia kicks off its Nokia World event and introduces its next-generation Windows Phone and Windows RT tablets to the world. With October basically already here, the wait will be over soon.
